Roger and Ian need to give that a guy a couple bikes and parts. Or maybe bring him under the tent for the rest of the season?

Hard to say but he left the team and Varize took his spot and since going Varize has gotten much worse. Maybe not a great bike or team

My thoughts are that he just made a lot of factory guys look mediocre. Top KTM. 🤷🏻‍♂️. If i were running things I would take the gamble of bikes, and mechanical support

The Ty masterpool mystery continues one minute he’s on a team he’s not on a team he’s back on another team now he’s privateer ???? but what isn’t a mystery is the fact the kid doesn’t do anything much all season then pops up at redbud and no matter what bike he is on from star bike to a full privateer effort he does really well and usually holeshots . He has some mojo with that redbud track that’s for sure !!!

Maybe the dirt. Looks similar to dirt at His956 Facility. Be nice to see him level out and be consistent

Anyone knows the real reason why Star racing didn't keep him under the team ?

Because at Star you either deliver or you are gone. He was injured a bunch and as my football coach used to tell me, "You can't make the club in the tub."

Masterpool is the kind of guy that needs an AC reset. Skip an entire year and just work on getting healthy and come back ready to take a season on strong from the start. Always coming back from an injury is no good. Maybe if WSX takes off it will open up better outdoor rides because the kid deserves decent equipment under him.

I don't know the details, but my understanding was he didn't see it coming and I know he was pissed about it.
Yamaha had been after him since he was on 85's and he asked them to wait because he wanted to win Supermini on a privateer bike just to prove it could be done.
I think the problem was that when he signed with Yamaha, they released control to Star and Ty wasn't one of Star's guys. Had Yamaha not made that move, he would probably still be with them.

Hopefully Ty can finish the season out strong and pick up a decent ride for next season. I can't believe a team like ClubMX wouldn't give him a shot.

This. I was gonna start a thread about him. Why the hell did Star drop him? The kid freaking rips. And I'm sure if he was on a solid program he could be really good at SX too. Great ride 2nd moto

Crazy to think he has no ride when riders like swoll, drake, Kilroy, etc all have rides. The dude rips.

I think he has a problem sticking to a program. He doesn’t seem to want to train anywhere other than with his father and family at 956. I think something happened between star and him too, not just star thinks he wasn’t good enough to win. There seems to be more to it than just him not getting a ride. I think he’s a kid and does stuff maybe he shouldn’t. I know he likes to party too…not a bad thing but that can be hard to balance at times.

7 downvotes so far? Anyone care to tell me what I said that could be so controversial?

Is Star known for a short leash? Yes
Has he been injured? Yes
Does he get injured coming off injuries? Yes
Does he deserve better equipment? Yes

What the eff is there to downvote?

Rumors at the time were he wanted to wait on riding SX and that’s what the Teams really care about so Star moved on.

He flies at red bud but let’s not get carried away. Let’s see if he can back it up. He also has been on 3 different teams in the last two years so maybe not the easiest to work with.

Dude killed it today!
But it really does not matter because he does not ace SX.

Yes, that is also how I understood it. He wasn't wanting to do SX that next year so Star moved on. Regardless, he is a bad dude. I'd like to see him on a decent team. If healthy, he can probably put up decent results, at least at the outdoors.

Red Bull KTM should pick him up. Add another 250 rider. Granted Redbud is his best track it seems but he did much better than Vohland.

Where is all this 3 teams talk coming from? He’s only ever ridden for Star and AEO, he rode his own bike in between the rides.

I had him on my fantasy team until the last second. Fitness and used bike scared me away🤦‍♀️

This is his 4th year pro and he has completed 5 supercross races with a best finish of 13th. The moment he flashes any potential on a supercross track, he will start getting attention from bigger teams. Until then nobody has a spot for a 10th place outdoors-only rider.

His fitness is 10th. His speed is elite. We can work with speed😏 there must be a reason someone that fast is on a used bike.
