Is anyone watching Instagram story… hilarious today and possibly riding it looks like this thing might not be a joke after all. Called out Malcolm for a sword fight 🤣

That is a regional title. JLaw is not even in the AMA records, but Dungey is right there at number 5. Check for yourself;http://mxbob.com/AllTime/AllTimeAMAWins.htm

You can dislike it but he’s correct. RC is a 15 time champ, not a 16 timer. Regional titles and wins don’t count in career totals. Just how it is in this sport. It’s still an accomplishment, just doesn’t count in the record books

He’s really one of the most talented dudes to ever do it IMO. Maybe it was the first impression but I remember seeing him go a half a lap down his first race at washougal to almost winning in one of those short qualifying races. It was year they had those weird little whoops after Leach’s lump.

So he never won a big bike race.. I wish I won a supercross title that “didn’t count”

Is Jeremy McGrath a 7-time SX champ or a 9-time SX champ? This isn’t new you guys…

Plot twist: that is Jlaw

Its all great entertainment. If JLaw actually does make it to a national (I have some well founded doubts,) the crowd and I would go nutz!

By no means a JLaw nut hanger, but he was extremely talented and entertaining to watch ride a motorcycle.

Especially this season. Can you imagine Jlaw AND Dungey back on the track together? Motocross greats commentating the races for us on TV AND an epic rivalry replayed live on track....

Could it get any better for us fan as entertainment?

Somehow everyone keeps falling for this. He has done this a dozen times with stories, sponsors, and riding vids....then never shows up only to reappear a year later with some more BS to keep the followers drooling.

I think 99% of us fans who really follow the sport know this to be true. Doesn't make it any less entertaining to discuss and "wish" for.

Some people really get their panties in a bunch over this guy. If the guy wants to try to qualify and race a national, good for him.

Epic Rivalry? How many years ago? J-Law would have "NOTHING" for Dungey. There is no RIVALRY any longer. Dungey could wipe the floor with him on a bike and I wouldnt put it past him to do it physically now, but he is too nice of a guy (Dungey). He would just let J-Law make more of a fool of himself....some more.

I think most would agree Dungey that would have him more than covered today, as he did most of his career….. at least those who follow the sport closely.

Dungey is amongst the all time greats. Jlaw can’t match his legacy of racing success, on or off the track. But he is still an entertaining figure.

There is no denying that 250SX battle was epic entertainment on and off the track. It would also be great to see them both on the track relive that seasons rivalry.

Even if JLaw, in all likelihood wouldn’t be competitive or even a remote chance of actually happening…. It’s still fun to discuss! It’s entertainment.

Weird, he seems to be listed as the 08 250SX West Champion. They must have it wrong.

https://www.supercrosslive.com/champions

mxbob seems more official for AMA records though.

In my opinion a former champion at 35 could probably come back to qualifying speed as long as he was fit enough and put the time in on the bike, even after a long lay off.
