there are many, me included that thought ap7 would be where sexton is now after he was so dominant in 250 mx.
tomac was going to make it look easy until blowing both shoulders out.
Look how long webb struggled after kicking everybody's asses on the 250s.
in the 45+ years i have followed the sport there have been so many "next big things" that fizzled, and just as many that completely shocked everybody (df14 winning 450 mx last year, and certainly not living up to expectations in 450 sx and mx this year are examples of both).
What I would think would change is hunter separating a bit on testing and practicing. It would be hard to ride everyday with your rival and share any edge you come up with in setup and/or technique resulting in having it used against you.
I am curious how much info of this nature kr94 and cs23 share.

You'd presume what works for one won't work for the other anyone, luckily, or I could see people getting a little tight lipped or frustrated if they couldn't be. An example is like ML's bike check video said about their difference in suspension setup (and even type, now Chase is on the BFRC shock).
Hunter and Jett, maybe understandably, seem more similar so perhaps it will come to that.
Let's all remember that NO ONE likes losing. Especially after a battle like that. They BOTH where hanging it Waaaaaay Waaaaaay Out There!
During the podium coverage, just as they got off the track, it sounded Jett was giving Hunter props for his down-hill Banzai Speed pass. Still, Hunter wasn't looking too happy as he nodded. But, to be fair, I didn't see Hunter being too out of sorts. He just wasn't stoked about NOT winning. I like that.
As 2 brothers that've been doing this for a while...let's not forget their European chapter...they BOTH...Hunter AND Jett need to be able to give it all they've got AND move on to the real job...the next race.
Honda has to be Uber-Stoked: They're 1-2 and racing THEMSELVES for the 250 title...at this point.
Myself, when Honda originally hired them both, I didn't know the full European/GP Racing Family Story: I had NO IDEA of Hunter's REAL accomplishments. Now, after some pod-casts and looking up a few race-records...I do. The dude is AMAZING and will show us more as time goes on.
If you think bout it, Hunter's speed has picked up quite a bit this year. I don't know that he's found all of his speed, yet. I'm kinda stoked about that.
Not give up 1/2 a bike length as the race has just started.
I think Hunter rode better yesterday and Jett got lucky with lappers.
Its about Hunter surely wanting to be someone's No.1, rather than forever being No.2 when on the same team as his brother.
He is consistantly slow with reaction time, very noticable.
They are brothers who have a great relationship. They both want to win. End of story.
A great example of how little animosity there is between the two is Jett stopped teasing Hunter by calling him his sister after Jett showed he was developing as the faster brother. Lots of respect there.

When Hunter is ready to move up to the 450, let him go back to run the gps to take over for gajser

we all know Hunter steps up for MXON. dude has soo much pride in racing it. Im excited to see Jett step up for it.
But after all of stories of them being in the MXGP series.. I doubt hunter goes back haha
I REALLY wanted to beat him in any sport or competition we ever competed in and vice versa and fuck I would get the shits if he beat me (he is 7 years older so that happened quite a bit haha)
We had a pool table at home that we were often banned from playing each on haha
Once the racing is done, and he looks past that, then yes, he'll be happy for his brother, but as long as that adrenaline is still flowing, he should be pissed, that'll drive him to keep working harder.
