Any chance you’ll sell the rear wheel alone?

Yes. It was off a 2022 450. Bike was parted out for after market wheels. Not my bike. Comes with the spacers, rotor, sprocket (49 tooth that’s what the 450 comes with 250 comes with 50 tooth). Factory 450 tire tube and rim lock. New. You can part out the extras beyond the rim itself. Everything in photo about $1200.00. Pick up my price $500.00. If I ship I would charge the extra for the shipping cost. To many riders are putting the 110 tire on the stock 1.85 rim. Changes the circumference of the tire. Could it effect handling? Probably a little. Those were the picky little things I wanted to change on the bike, especially if I were to have had the suspension done. Yamaha went with a 2.15 rim on there 250f for 2022 with a 110 tire.

What are you guys running for oil? I've always ran 10w40 but the manual says 10w30 only.

I also use the HP4S 10W30, we never moto when it is over 86F anyway out here in Canada.

Thinking about switching to Maxima ProPlus soon.

Hi guys,

Are there any must-do mods or parts to the bike worth the money?
Did you guys feel anything by removing the filter screen inside the air intake?

Mine is currently pretty stock except for a gripper seat cover which is a must, and mx33 110 rear on the stock 1.85.

Currently have a bit over 18 hours on this bike and love everything about it, one of the best bikes I have ever ridden.

Looking forward to seeing what you guys modified to your bikes!

Motor wise I’ve found quite a bit of power increase with a yosh exhaust, VHM intake, and had the stock ecu mapped on a dyno with BWR. All internals stock and I can get starts over 450s.
Suspension wise find a trusted tuner to get it set up for yourself. Ride engineering split clamps take harness out of the front end. Rep rear linkage take some harness out of the rear of the bike, and improves straighline stability, especially in big whoops. Also FCP motor mounts take some of the harsh frame feedback away, but also gives the front a much more planted feel on hard pack.

Anyone else experiencing their silencer being easily dented on this thing?

Initially had a small tip over on the right side and then later while washing the bike I noticed a small ding. I didn't think the mishap would've resulted in damage but thought perhaps it came down on a rock or something...oh well.

A few rides later and I'm now seeing several dings without any crashes or such. I'm guessing I'm striking the silencer occasionally with my boot? IDK...but I've never had this happen with any of my previous CRFs or other brands that actually had the silencer even more exposed. I'm stumped on what may be causing the damage.

Time to shore up that technique, somebody is dragging the inside leg behind them and whacking the silencer

Honda did a lot of work to lighten up this bike, maybe they thinned out the aluminum on the canister to save weight resulting in easily be dented. Maybe? Or cheap aluminum

Idk but that bike looks like it’s been beat to *#$@….

Weren’t you the same guy earlier in this thread asking about different bar mounts to prevent the bars from twisting in a tip over?

Granted I’m not running the stock exhaust but I have no dented exhaust and I also haven’t twisted my bars this point but I’m sure it all can happen. Hope you figure it out.

Maybe dial it back a couple notches and try to ride a little cleaner and smoother.

The silencer looks rough for sure but the rest of the bike is not reached like that. She has about 25 hours on her now so not showroom condition but well taken care of.

The question I posed regarding bar mounts twisting easily was before I had ever swung a leg over the bike.

I'm not the guy that rides all out of control. I usually have a get off or 2 a season but I would think that's par for the course for most people that ride hard and put 60+ hours on their scoot.

Maybe I am whacking the silencer with my boot somehow? It's just odd that its never been an issue previous to this bike.
