Best spring ever, perfect dirt and tons of mtn snow. It’s prime time on the right side of the mtns.

Come to Texas guys 104 tomorrow and Sunday and just the start for us. October we might see temps drop to the 80's again with some rain.

Supposed to be almost ideal here this weekend. A little bit cool, but not too bad.

We’ve had an incredibly wet spring so far, though. Looking forward to our actual summer arriving, but I’m sure that I’ll be complaining when it’s over 100 in September.

It rained like a MOTHERFUCKER yesterday in cowlitz county. Usually I try to not fret over stuff I can’t change but this weather now in the middle of June has me at my wits end.

My area of Washington historically gets a little less annual rainfall than Tempe does, but a portion of it comes down in white flakes during the winter. I wouldn’t be surprised if we finish this year 20-40% higher than our average, though. 9” is average, we’re just over half of that right now.

I was speaking to a rancher here in my community the other day, in 60 years he has never seen the wind that we are experiencing. The weather otherwise has been very cooperative, but I am too old to jump my bike in gusty 40-50 mph wind.
We do have plenty of trails to ride, but that isn't very fun , at least to me.

Oregon is the nation's top producer of blackberries. Also a lot of marionberry, raspberry, and blueberries. Farmers here are worried that the crop might not survive the rain. At some point it molds on the plant and you are done. Clover crop (another huge export) is also in trouble. We've only had 4 days over 70 this year and should be hitting 80 by now.

Long term forecast this morning says a stuck high pressure zone over Arizona/New Mexico will stay in place and we will see more cool/wet weather for the next 2 weeks. It's 48f and raining outside right now. May damn 12th!
I have a childhood friend who owns the original NW vineyard that started the whole Pinot Noir craze. They are looking at losing 70%+ of their harvest this year. Worst loss in memory...........

We were supposed to do a vurb shred tour at Washougal this weekend... but the track has been underwater for the past month and has no chance of drying out. We haven't announced it yet, but (very) sadly we gotta pull the plug.

I guess I'm just here to say I feel your pain man

If you all remember the volcano that blew in the south pacific last winter, ?

Was said to potentially make for a cool summer due to fine particles of ash in the stratosfear..
So why is it hot as fuck through most the country and cool and wet as fuck up here?.

must say,, good mtn bike weather for sure!!

food for thought

Oh hell yeah. Finally!! Last night was awesome at PiR with PERFECT weather 450+ riders, 20 motos, and full gates. It was the last one for our Exchange student Marine (French) and Rick and Ron Wilder let her be the 30 second girl for the Pro Class. Great memories made once again!
