I think that a restyle kit for the 2008 gen CRFs would be developpment money better spent.

We do agree, however, the older 4 strokes are few and far between now... Costs of maintenance, or overhauls, often relegates them to the back of the garage. Always looking at options though!

You know I hadn't thought of it but, ya, there isn't a lot of older 4-strokes at the track I ride the most. Everyone has new or newer bikes. Hmm. Anyhoo, tough to have an opinion on your product without seeing it in a bike. Good luck though

Any pics of a CRF actually fitted with that kit?
Hard to make an opinion with just the plastics...

I'm curious, since I personnaly find the latest CRFs close to perfection.

Odd decision to produce those, some people have a few gripes about mapping / suspension, but it seems almost universally agreed that the current Honda's are real good looking bikes even stock.

100% agree, but, there is a reason this was done. I cannot give details at the moment, but sure, in time, people will know what's going on! Cool

Don't listen to the haters restyle kits for current bikes is a great idea. Like body kits for your car
Should do other brands as well. 19 - 22 ktm's well 23 be another good choice.
22 yz 125 250 - it's new so what
The option to change up the look from stock would be good.

My guess is Genova wants his bike to have its own look.

I still have an 06 CRF450, and wish someone would made a restyle kit for the 05-08 CRFmodels years.
I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Shame that you guys have that opinion, since there are a lot of older CRFs still in use today.

Calling anybody who shares the slightest interrogation about something a "hater" really is a dumb trend.
You have no clue what hate is, which is amazing after Uvalde or Ukraine, just to name those two.
Unsure

Whoooah, you sound like quite a hater to me.
Wink
You understand what I wrote has nothing to do with you personnally?
I just feel that the term "hater" is pretty overused, these days...

Yeah docweedon, I hear ya..... for sure. But, imagine, how many of these bikes are still in use... say realistically, 10%? The cost of development and molds, in excess of 100K EUR. Getting a return, on, say 2000 bikes, worldwide, especially when it seems, many riders love the look of the original (I agree), it's not really a model we could touch. Also, the 250 has different plastics, so that also limits viability of a project like this.
All you can do, get mega creative with graphics, we can do restyle (updated) front fender and plate.... SCRUB works magic, and can find ways to make it work. Woohoo

It's true I rarely see older 4 strokes at the track. If I do it's usually a clapper ridden by a beginner. Roi is not there on older 4 strokes. Newer ones yes and 2 strokes since owners hold on to them.

Just go look at build restore posts on here not very many older 4 strokes.

It looks better than I thought and better graphics would help a lot.

I’m still riding the hell out of my 2007 and absolutely love the old bike! This bike is capable of anything I wanna do as a 50+ (used to be B!) C rider!
(I kept this bike to ride when I sold my 20 KX450!)

I’m not too sure the 06-08 CRF isn’t still the best 450 Honda has built to date!
Several of my Texas riding buddies have clean 08’s, and in fact, one of them qualified in 2021 to LL’s on his tricked out 2008! These ol’ Honda’s are a hoot! 👍

Personally I think it looks great, but I do have a question that maybe you can answer....
Why is it that honda and the other japanese bike still use a from number plate with the plastic loop that goes over the handlebars. obviously it provides little to no value, is a legality thing with patent infringements or something like that??

Hahaha yer probably right Smokin’ Joe!

I’ve hit my head a few times over the years!
I love the ol’ CRF but I’m not some looney-tune that wants to argue over the merits of a 15 year old dirt bike!
I’m proud of it and happy to own it, but there is NO doubt all the new bikes are flippin’ incredible and have improved exponentially over the years!

My recently sold 20’ KX 450 was an amazing and fabulously fast competent machine and I already regret selling it, as I do pretty much every great bike I’ve owned over the years! 🤪 😎 👍❗️

I literally wondered exactly that a while ago, seeing a particular Kawi with a Fatbar and the superfluous plastic dealy flapping about at the track.

Would also be interested in the answer, as there has to be a reason, or they'd just bin it and simplify their moulds.

Does anyone make a restyle kit to make my 2020 husky look like a 1960s BSA? I need some better excuses.

Just there to keep the front brake hose from getting stuck behind the number plate.
