I saw people asking this question about a month ago , and never did see an answer to that question? Hoping that Mav TV doesn't screw this up.

There will be commercials is my understanding. It's not the greatest, but for the cost and the other content on MavTV Plus, it's still well worth it.

There will be commercials
No app, must watch from laptop or phone
3 rounds won't be shown on the MavTv

Bummer DC chose to line his personal pockets and screw over the entire moto fan base. So many good story lines and another competing series is forming that will pull riders from outdoors and DC chose his pocket book instead of growing the series. Sad times.

I feel like we complained about Peacock, but I can't even remember what for now.

From the live dirt track racing I’ve watched on the app I didn’t see any commercials during the racing and very few between races.
I’m sure the Mavtv on cable will see more.

Damn it on the commercials , but I guess it's better than nothing.

Couple other things here. Is there a way to watch qualifying? And what 3 rounds aren't on Mav? Probably Daytona , but the other two?

Because they want everything to be just like they think it should be and have no idea what it takes. Everyone wants to complain about everything.....same with Peacock. This app is great and has nothing to do with anyone "lining their pockets". If he listened to any of the interviews with Davey, they would understand NBC Sports is going away and who knows where SX will be broadcast next year, but SX had this year on their contract. Lucas Oil owns MAVTV and a longtime sponsor of the series This could be a potential longtime home for the series. The reason 3 races are not on the app is NBC still wanted those three races on their network, which is great thing for riders and fans for that matter......and they will be on the app shortly after the live broadcast.

You must have MavTV plus to watch qualifying.

Nothing to do with it? Are they airing commercials during live racing for free? That’s kind of them.

Hmm?? I see a Lucas oil motorsports thing scheduled , so that must be it? If so that just put a smile on my face. Also , that schedule you just put a link to , shows all the rounds in MAV , with some Motos being shown the same time on NBC. I thought 3 rounds weren't being shown at all on MAV?

DC mentioned they were "working on" getting picture in picture during commercial break.

Yup, you're right Swap. We are in a good spot. We have the Goat asking for a link on instagram this morning to watch the motos. We took a step backwards this year. Bummer.

So you don't want MavTV to be profitable? I would rather not have commercials as well, but Davey doesn't control Mav TV was my point. Do you work for free?

If it were up to me, there would be a premium option with no commercials, but with Peacock all that did was show a static view of the track rather than added interviews or something else.

Peacock didn’t skip a beat when it went to commercials for tv. And it was cheaper than Mavtv. That’s what most people have a problem with. Don’t make us pay a subscription fee and cut away during the race to commercials that they’re also getting paid for

Peacock was cheaper, zero commercials and plenty of content for everyone to watch. This MAVtv deal is a joke. Big step backwards.

Daytona??? Bro what are you smoking? Grinning

3 motos are live on NBC and then directly up on MAVTV.

For everyone else, NBC Sports no longer exists so it literally wasn’t even an option for MX Sports. Nobody is “lining their pockets”.

Yep, a network with dedicated two wheel content including Pulp MX now and tons of other racing is a step backwards......especially when NBC Sports is going away so peacock was not an option since it is an NBC service. I wonder why NBC sports is going away....I will give you a hint....not because it was profitable enough and growing.

MavTV could be a long term home for moto (maybe SX who knows?) and I am sure it will get better and better. I do wish it was broadcast for free on YouTube to gain exposure, but if that was the case who pays for the TV crew and all the infrastructure that comes with 24 live motos or more than 80 hours of coverage over the season? Do you have any clue what that would cost? One event is one thing, but all 12 is just not realistic if you have any understanding of ROI. Would you be willing to donate $50 to the cause....because MavTV Plus is less than that and how many others would have to donate to make it possible?

That's what we're asking for. I would gladly pay a lot more for commercial free motos. Supercross didn't really matter, we never had interrupted races. I would be way less annoyed if we just had commercials in between motos rather than losing racing/passes for the lead while on break.

I agree, but this is a new network and I would say give them a chance to iron things out and I am sure additional options and content will follow if it makes business sense for them.

If you don’t have cable, or if MAVTV isn’t a part of your cable TV package, you will have to sign up for MAVTV Plus if you want to watch the races.

I know. But the first race isn’t on Mav… it’s on nbc. So no cable means no motos today?

MavTV has EX, AX, and now MX. They have Pulp as well. Wish list would be to add MXGPs.

Can we get them to have SX too so its all on one channel, then work on the whole commercial free thing (picture in picture at worst) for MX only during the 35 minute motos? Have as many commercials as you want in between the motos, who cares. Just give us the whole race.

Even if Davey is lining his pockets, well, good for him if he can since he runs the series these days. It is called being an entrepreneur. You take financial risk and sometimes it pays off, sometimes not.

That is the American way. Opportunity and freedom. I am glad it is on TV. I am sure he worked hard to get the best arrangement he could and still be profitable for all parties.
