Not sure what their contract situation is though. Are they "just" under contract at BT racing or is it a deal with husqvarna who placed them at BT?

Nothing against most of the teams in the EMX/GP’s right now but for me the mx2 is a mess. Riders like Edberg, Farres barely get a ride while there are riders in EMX and GP’s fighting for top15 with less talent.
Farres won the latest Spanish championship and didn’t even have the opportunity to ride 2 of the last 3 EMX races, while he beat Braceras, who is getting podiums in the EMX250 class. Luckily he can fill in for Sydow at Raths so a shoutout to them.
Edberg is back in Sweden, so no more gp’s for him at the moment. They should drastically change some things otherwise we won’t have 20 people at the gate in next upcoming years. Less races, or atleast less overseas. Age of EMX250 to 21 and GP mx2 to 25. More costs covered for the teams would be good imo.
EMX250 is simply to 'succesfull/attractive' for riders and teams.
I mean for the cost of doing 10 rounds of EMX250 you can also do 7 wildcards MX2.
Still there are a significant amount of riders & teams who prefer to do those 10 rounds over 7 rounds in MX2.
Even if the rider isnt going to be a title contender, but fast enough to outrace a bunch of current MX2 riders.
Apparently being able to do a full championship over a partial championship is very important to teams and riders (otherwise i don't know why guys like Mclellan, Talviku, Spiess, Stauffer, etc. don't just do 7+ gp's)
As i said, it's not just only about money. Jose Butron is doing EMX open for 6 races and that will be over 30.000 kilometer for him. Doing 6 wildcards GP's a bit more nearby will cost him the same.
