I highly doubt it. They are totally different bikes and different motors. Bike was redesigned from the ground up in 2019

No, neither the full system nor a slip-on muffler will fit.

No, it doesn't. I added the rubber washer of a tomato sauce bottle. 2 years and still no problems.

Awesome thanks man. Btw how you liking it? Was going to splurge for the 4.1 but would rather use that extra $$ elsewhere

Don’t expect huge gains, just a crisper power curve and more top end. The bottom end remains the same. The looks Are much better than stock.

If you are doing it for looks get the PC or Akrapovic. They are the best looking IMO, but the Akra ain’t cheap!

I would avoid the 4.1, it's light and looks cool but mine fell apart after 15 hours, rivets came loose, mount fractured, all with no crashes. FMF said it's because it needed to be repacked. My PC is still going strong after 40+ hours.

On a more serious note, I am not happy at all about the engine durability. Mine has 130 hours. At 110 hours I had to do a complete engine rebuild. Rod, piston, chain, chain guide e chain tensioner. My 2016 was way better in terms of durability. After 100 hours the engine was new.

Well that’s not a complete engine rebuild though lol. That’s a top end. Curious as to why you needed a new rod though? I just did a top end on my YZ450F and it didn’t need a rod. Whole new head though as the valve broke in the chamber and busted up the bucket

I changed the rod because the tolerance of the piston pin was excessive. The difference in durability with the 2016 engine is impressive. Oil change every 5 hours max.

I wonder if that has to do with switching from a bucket design to the finger follower design allowing for increased rev limiter and whatnot? Btw, how did you like working on that design as opposed to the buckets? Any easier?

What’s everyone running on their chain slack? I’m at 2.4” above the chain guide and feels real slappy at low speeds

2.4 is a little loose. Manual calls for 1.9-2.1". I shoot for 2-2.1.

+1 also manual calls for measuring off the swingarm right behind the slider and not off the slider itself.

I just bought a 22 so I could join you hippies, broke her in yesterday and have a couple of questions. Is there any other option for the clutch lever other than the ARC? The stock lever hits my finger before the clutch is disengaged, I really don’t like the break away levers. I was hoping I could find a lever similar to stock that solves the issue.

The forks are super soft. Im a 6’2 170 pound expert/hippy level MX racer. Im wondering if I should go with .51 or .52 spring rate?

Stock fork spring rate i believe is the same as the RMZ and CRF 450 but they come with a much higher oil volume. KX is 310cc, RMZ and CRF are around 360cc.give or take. If you went up on spring rate on your RMZ could do the same on the KX.

I'm selling my 19 450 and going to a 23 250, so I'll be selling my full PC Ti-6 system, if anyone's interested shoot me a DM, I haven't even posted it for sale yet. Maybe 15 hrs on it at most.

Try ordering one of the optional stiffer springs and install it on one side. While you’re doing that, dump the stock fork oil in both forks and replace it with 370ccs in each fork. If it still feels divey, put a stiffer fork spring in the other fork as well. That will solve your problems.

I ran .51 and 375cc of oil in my RMZ revalved forks, my Suzuki forks were much stiffer stock. I’m going to get the KX suspension done, but I don’t have time before my first race. Should I go with the OEM Kawi optional springs?

I’m still wondering about the clutch lever problem?

I don't have any experience with levers other than OEM or ASV. Saying that, have you tried the reach adjuster on the OE lever to move it further out from the bar?

Yep, I have it adjusted pretty far out. Wasn’t a problem until the bike got hot.
