Glad we have access to 2 private tracks. I prep the way I like it, and it's never crowded. Course, I'm $4000 a year into diesel, sawdust, gear rentals etc, and 100+ hours of labor to ride them.
Coming from NorCal with Argyll, Hangtown, E Street, MMX, Riverfront, Diablo, Hollister GP, Club, where the operators are mostly top notch and change it up, PNW isn't as good. And this year the weather has SUCKED!!!! Not a single PIR TNMX race yet, and next week ain't looking good.

Riverdale. I have spun tons of laps here. Oh my is it stale/boring/sketch at times. Prime time to ride is late spring/early fall with rain often to keep it half way rideable. The 7 day schedule is nice for the time in the middle of the week, but really only viable during the wetter time of year. I MISS the big ass track at the drag strip. Big ass jumps and a mountain of dirt essentially. All the whoops/rollers. Watching Blackburn, Tristan Charboneu, Ian Smith was a treat. Also wrecks havoc on your machine. Chains, sprockets, and tires pretty much disintegrate there. Wet or dry. Its good for people who are very new to the sport. Tame and mellow jumps. Crowd there is getting very goon and squid. So many things I wish they would change to make it better but oh well.
Woodland is nice. Shame is only winter.
I miss The Ridge up in Shelton. Yeah it was rocky af but it was pretty highspeed with fun jumps. Just wish I had my skills I have now, back then to hit everything.
Washougal. Ill never go to a practice day there, I don't feel like driving over 2 hours to ride maybe 4/5 times. Its just ungodly packed for their 4 practice days a year.
Cant speak for the other tracks. I have only been riding MX for the past 5 years. Only started taking it serious the last 2.
Bummer is that I was not riding from 13-18, and didn’t get there until about a year before it closed.
I could be wrong, but from what I am seeing/reading, it looks like it is true.
Cadillac Ranch was good as well, high speed which there aren’t many tracks like that here in the pnw
I grew up in Olympia so I like to go up and hit a few races with my kid but it’s a bit underwhelming. He likes Washougal, about to head up there for regionals.
Lance is a local icon, it is hard to like change like this, but hopefully the Devol folks have something fresh and better in mind.
It's been like this for a few years now and it blows. Dudes doing the track prep there don't know what they are doing.
Mt view did something stupid like this last year but they too failed big time. By not tilling it into the soil which was not only a waste of thier time. It made for shit conditions and it was no benefit to the track . They just laid it on top its mostly blown off by now thankfully.

Riverdale is far from perfect but it's still my go to track simply because of the open riding/multiple tracks. It's so nice to be able to ride/rest as long as you want whenever you want vs rotating classes you get at virtually every other track.
I also hit up Whidbey MX in summers quite a bit. It's small, has weird amalgamation of soil, and is usually pretty crowded but my in-laws live on the island so can't beat it for convenience.
In the UK, our selection of tracks is appalling.
Edit: another positive is it’s a ton of farm land in the valley so complaining neighbors would be minimal.
