He's on the Backside of the curve or so it seems, happens to everyone.

But he doesn’t really speak… don’t get excited, this is just a collection of his post race interviews so far this year.
I was hoping it was going to be a recent interview discussing how he’s feeling, but no it’s just a click-bait title.

Well done Klinger, you’ve done what anyone of us could’ve done.

Not even gonna listen to that.

Sucks to see him struggling so bad this year....I'm just burned out on the endless Kenny whine.... the Kristen Beat interview in January was the end for me.

Doesn't really give any insight from what happened since he dominated A1 to now just being a lapped rider hovering around the top 10. He caught alot of shit in the past, myself included, for being open for what he's going through and it just sounded like excuses. Now who knows, but it's gotta be something...you don't just drop off that quick.

I've said it before but that class is stacked the top ten guys are all prior 450 supercross winners or past champions. Roczen is currently in 9th place I believe and he was taken out a couple of times. Even the top 15 or so are serious supercross guys who could possibly even win with a ridiculous start.

It wouldn't be a total shocker to me if he ripped a holeshot and clicks off a win at Daytona. IMO the favorites are probably Tomac Anderson or Sexton. Hopefully Kenny can at least make a good showing poor guy is taking a beating here.

Have to agree. Being a tiny bit off with the bike will mean a second or 2 a lap. Especially as it gets rougher.

Combine that with a lack of confidence, a few crashes which is totally uncharacteristic for Kenny, and all of a sudden he is mentally not willing to lay it on the line.

We see it with Sexton a little as well. Can't push the same speed as qualifying or heats in the main.

He seems to be struggling with bike set up whenever the track varies from the standard design and dirt conditions. That's what I got from those statements

There seems to be a modern trend of “I’m struggling with set up and that’s why I’m not winning” being used as a kind of ‘get out of jail free’ card.

Who’s responsibility is it to have that thing set up?
Who’s responsibility is it to give accurate feedback to the teams for changes required?

In Kenny’s case, he’s been riding that thing for close to two years now? And he’s had multiple successes on it both indoors and out. If he’s struggling with set up, it’s on him, nobody else.

Quit blaming the bike, youve put it in the winners circle just eight weeks ago. Chase is working it out too. It isn’t far off. Just get your head around it like the pro you are.

He said he “was struggling with the bike setup and was really uncomfortable” like 5 times. “Didn’t have the best week of testing” “Been riding on some super soft dirt before San Diego, and SD was really hard pack and gravelly. WTF? The west coast is always hard pack, where were they riding on soft dirt before SD? Then Sexton wins SD on the same bike. Bizarre.

Would you say it's normal that Kenny has crashed 6-7 times in the Whoops this season alone? That's probably twice as many times as the rest of his career combined. Easy to say get your head around it lol.
And we're talking about Kenny. He has consistently been one of the best in the whoops in the last half decade.
I don't think I have seen him say that it's not on him to set the bike up. Difference to Chase is that Chase is willing to outside his comfort zone and risk potentially season ending crashes - kenny doesnt do that anymore but sometimes that's necessary in Supercross. Chase is working on the bike as well. They switched to different clamps in the middle of an SX season. You don't make a significant change like that if everything is fine. Difference is he doesn't give a shit and just pushes through it.

He's still top 10 in one of the toughest series on the planet but damn it sucks to see him struggle like that

Hrc pays him millions, not for top 10 s, they gave him the summer off. Etc. Imo he.will.retire or change teams for a paycut.

The guy rode around in 16th twice......something is clearly wrong and it's not because the privateers suddenly rose to his level.

Kenny is Kenny...and his answers all sound like they always have. Still bothers me that the riders use "we" instead of "me" in their references...but that's just "me". I also think he's a really private guy as far as personal stuff is concerned. If there was anything going poorly in his personal life or in his relationship with the team, he'd never share that.

He is all over social media, far from a private guy. Certain stuff , pretty sure he wont share.

All those involved are not silly people. They won't rack up 7 crashes and keep blaming the bike. 1 or 2 crashes, maybe, but they'll quickly revert to the settings he was on when he WASN'T being bucked off and he was winning. Theres no mileage in throwing your star guy down the track repeatedly.

If Kenny still keeps on crashing, its rider error.
