Costs me $134 to fill my f150 right now. Probably wont do much riding as driving to the track and back will cost me $60 plus the $30 to ride. Well, not even factoring in gas for the bike either……

We don’t rely on Russia. The graph is somewhat difficult to see the different colors depicted in the legend, but for Russian imports it’s the darkest magenta, tiny bits at the bottom.

If you work for a business or yourself, it doesn’t matter. Now is the time to raise your prices. You should be angling for a 10-20 percent raise on any rate you do work for.

If your job won’t pay you more, find an employer that will. Inflation isn’t stopping for another few years, you have to get out in front or it’s going to drown people.
Exactly Bro in aprox 3 weeks I,m done ic trucking. Probably start a currier buisness. I create a Bol shipping document to every race I drive to. Example I delivered emergency racing parts for a client at the track. So my fuel is free for racing, you hv to b a little creative. To start a LLc buisness is aprox 350.00 it’s easy anyone can it.

Prices have been this high in my neck of the woods for the last 3 years.....I'm afraid to see what it looks like in 6 months.
Also sadly there really isn't any good places to moto up here except the beach and logging roads and everytime I ride the dunes I picture my Dad rolling in his grave. Lol so that part won't affect me to much

Agreed, where I'm at I can count on one hand the amount of tracks I have to ride at on weekends and most aren't even open but a couple times a year. So I'm stuck riding at the public ohv tracks most weekends. I envy californian's amount of tracks available to them.

Yep! The American dream of working for the same employer your entire life and retiring okay, is frankly, dead. You either make it in a well paying trade/career or start a business. I have a business and still raised rates to start this year. My staff is facing the same inflation I am so to pay them fair and keep them up to pace I had to raise the rates. And if for some reason inflation backs off and all this shit goes down, I’ll have conditioned my clients to pay us more per hour billed than prior to inflation, so win win either way.

When I was 25 it would have. Thankfully now at 47, it won't change my plans one bit.

Yup I literally was just thinking about this 5 min ago. After 10 years of owning it I won't be using my toy hauler any longer and it seems there aren't any 2 day race weekends in my area these days.
Where Lucky to hv a few double headers. You can camp here for free and the membership is cheap. It’s just outside of Green Bay. R 3,4 etc is Millville. RX is racer x vet series.

To the comments saying “it’s only an extra 20/30 bucks. Every single thing you buy for heading to the track will go up. Food, hotels (or haulers) parts, gate fees, etc. so no, it’s not 20/30 bucks, it’s a whole lot more on a race weekend. And yes I’m planning on still taking the hit because we love it. Headed to NC Friday from Pa and it’s gonna sting but can’t wait to rip.

It’s all hills Pa. to NC your gonna burn a bunch. I just got out of the trk shop in Chicago, great feeling that I don’t hv the huge bills that the other drivers do. I was renting a trk and trl I stopped that 2.5 weeks ago. I was dropping Ovr 2k a week on fuel and I was broke down 2 days or more every week. Your right everything goes up. Nobody can pull a load and loose a lot of money. 10k gross in 5 days is only 1,800 but could be 208.00 or -212.00 in your pocket. I can do better than that racing 40 expert or 50A.

I have a 22 F250 with the 7.3 gas engine. I also have a beater 02 Toyota Corolla I use for everything except towing and riding. Glen Helen is 20 minutes, State Fair and Perris are 40-45 minutes. Unless gas gets to $10/gal. probably not.

Pssssst...for those of us that bought in on & then cashed out QUICKLY on US based oil...rather recently...

WHEN did US oil production peak?

WHEN did US oil production take a dive?

And...why?

ps-IF we backed out of ALL Russian Oil Contracts...it would "defund" Vlad's F'd up assault on The Ukraine.

I'm jus' knowin'...

Great. The justification of high gas prices is starting. He’s reading this thread and rubbing his hands together in Delaware as we speak.

I live in deep Norcal in Humboldt County, not far from the Oregon border, we have logging roads and the dunes. We had a track at Redwood Acres Fairgrounds that is now gone. I grew up in the Bay Area in San Ramon and rode Club Moto 4 days a week. Club Moto is a 6 hour drive from where I live, same as all the the tracks listed. It sucks.

I rode at Club Moto multiple times a week when I lived in the Bay Areas for 10 years and rode and raced every track near there numerous times. I've looked, there is no public tracks in Humboldt County. We had one for 3 years until the pandemic hit. People have private tracks, but walking on private land in Humboldt County with out permission isn't a very smart move.

Where you gonna ride at?

I already feel it. Guessing the days of 5 guys driving separate trucks anywhere within 3hr at a moment’s notice are on hold. Will do more ride pooling. Sneaky play will be putting in more time doing trail maintenance as our club reimburses gas for GIA trails. Win win situation there
3/3/2022 4:42am
I'm not sure if my riding will slow down, but how I get there will. Even race weekends I may just kick it old school and just wake up really early and drive to the track on race day versus taking the toyhauler. Between food, fuel, entries, etc It'll just add up to a lot. I'll be curious how this summer goes for everyone.

Gas is (still) so cheap here in the US compared to Europe its crazy. Every time I fill up I feel like I need to escape the forecourt as quickly as possible because it’s like I’ve stolen it. Costs me ~$45 to fill up here, same car in the UK is $135

Not quite sure what the conversion is, but I was just watch a video on where oil prices can go and in the US, we think 400 a barrel is unheard of but it is the equivalent of what the UK pays today
3/3/2022 5:28am
Only thing we can do is fight back. Move up to Vet Expert 30a,40a , 55a. Even if your 28.5 yrs old race 30a nobody cares about a year and a 1/2. Just get a fake Id. Pack the vet A gates out of shape vets r encouraged to move up 1st. Pack the gates, pack the gates we will chant as we March threw the valley of high fuel prices.

Similar situation here. 21’ 7.3 for Moto and camper hauling so far love it no issues though in a year only have 3k on it 😂. Otherwise 06 civic or 98 odyssey everywhere else.
45 min to tracks for me.

Still going to go Moto. We just live well within our means day to day.
