We got the first 2022 MC450F Troy Lee/Redbull Edition the beginning of last week so I made a quick overview and threw in some comparison shots to the stock bike! https://youtu.be/NP1cTFFaxWs

OK all you engineers suspension experts and flamers I have a question. I currently have a 21 Husqvarna FC 450 with the 10 mm lower suspension which I enjoy riding. I just picked up the gas gas factory addition which has standard height forks and shock I’m debating whether to swap out the forks and shocks and linkage. I’m a slow intermediate vet and wonder if it would be worth the trouble. The other question would be how would I advertise the Husqvarna to sell and let people know that it has the 2022 GasGas suspension which I’m sure young fast pros experts would not mind but would definitely need to identify that to Vet riders looking for the Husky lowered suspension.

Who's goona be the first one to build an MXGP version meaning buy a new FE KTM and have the red plastics made for it?

Personally I would not swap them. Does the factory edition gas gas come with the 45 N/mm rear spring or the 42 N/mm rear spring like the base model? The gas gas forks are the same as KTM besides certain valving inside. The husky stuff is 10mm shorter, both fork and shock.

Something to consider is that the Gas Gas has the husky swingarm with KTM subframe. It could work fine with the husky stuff, however I'm not certain how it would change the chassis dynamics on the gas gas.

The Husky set-up is part of a whole, engineered system. (linkage, etc) It's not just shorter suspension components.

Just use a screwdriver and pill it out. To me it makes the bike too loud + fuelling is not ok anymore...

My understanding is the shock, linkage and forks are only difference. Frame and swingarm are the same.

Add a longer link arm, slide the forks up in the clamps and get the springs and valving right. Lowering a bike to make it handle better isn’t magic, it’s always been an effective plan. Husky just got MXA to publicize it, so now everyone is talking about it. Do it!
