I can’t see a factory team giving him an offer Bc of how injury prone he is, granted this wasn’t his fault but I imagine teams look at him as kind of a liability more than an asset to their program. He’s a good rider when healthy but he’s mostly not healthy.

More like, get pushed out a 3 story window by another guy.

Forkner got xrayed in the astrix truck. Results came back no breaks. Austin was going to get more X-rays 2day.

He's in a contract year and since he likely won't score the necessary 135 points for him to be forced to move up, I'm guessing we'll see him ride for Mitch again next year.

That said, I think a change to GasGas or Husky wouldn't be a bad idea. Secure a 2 year deal. Ride the 250 one more year and then move up to the 450 the following year.

I have never been a fan of him and will probably never be a fan. But i do feel bad for him, so many injuries and such a promising career that is in doubt by now. It's just crazy to think what has happened with Sexton and Forkner when they raced each other years back and Sexton lucked into the first title when Forkner crashed out.

This is a perfect example of how brutal SX and MX can be at times. I hope he recovers if something is broken and gets fit for the outdoors. The good thing for him is that he's young and he still has speed to win 250 SX races and that will guarantee a factory ride for at least 3 years, probably more.

I believe he’s referring to his career as a whole, not just this incident.

If he doesn't point out, he'd get a factory ride but his price tag has significantly decreased. Change of scenery seems the best option for him, Star being the best option. Hopefully he's fine and mad Forkner lines up this weekend.

Yes im immature, and not saying for forkner to do it, i recommend he does not. But some reason i get a vision of Vilipoto launching into Jason Lawarence, must be Kawasaki and the Lawrence last name made me think of it?

Been a fan since he rode 85s back in the mid-west.

Went to Loretta's to help a friend hire a rider...or two...and watched the 85s while chillin' and enjoying being at Loretta's...

Some kid on an 85...little kid, too...SHREDDING in...I think..."9-11"...oh...& he was on a Suzuki...from Donnell's...I think...? (Donnell's = fellow Vital member, btw).

That had to be 2009 or 2010.

Since then, we all know he's had some amazing days and won A LOT of races. Oh, and, guess what? He's had some crashes, too. But, this entire time...you know, his "pro-career"...?

Mitch F'ing Payton has STAYED in Austin's corner; so, there's always that little fact.

I'm most impressed by these last coupl'a years where Austin got hurt so damn bad (internally!!!) that it shook-him up a bit and he had to "go find his speed AGAIN!"...right in front of our eyes...we ALL SAW IT!; yet, some of us still find the need to talk shit about him? No worries. It's the internet and people have short memories.

Last take: how many of you HAD WRITTEN JASON ANDERSON OFF?

I'm jus' sayin'...

Is a broken collarbone confirmed? I sure hope it's rumor

Austin had great speed this year and was riding with intelligence. Bummed for his bad luck

Pretty mature post from Forkner, not throwing blame where blame could pretty easily be thrown and instead saying "it is what it is."

I hope Mitch doesn't drop him after this one, not sure if his contract is up or not but his speed is back and this was just shit luck.

That can be pretty rough. If it's just a clean break at the edge of the plate, not a big deal, but the cracks through the screw holes complicate it, depending on how it cracked. You can definitely re-plate it, but from what I've been told it can take longer to heal.

Was gonna say it takes longer and they could only use a temporary plate, remove and let the bone heal which for sure takes longer.

Agree but he's still only 23. It's not like he's getting close to his 30s.. He's about as old as Ferrandis was when he first came over.

Is anyone even remotely surprised he got hurt again? Mitch just needs to clean house and get SMART racers under his tent again. He was always the best at finding talent. Not since Villopoto has he found anyone. AC is another crash artist that has let KAWI down...Its just sad.

"Last take: how many of you HAD WRITTEN JASON ANDERSON OFF?" I did for sure. I bet he'd never win again, not even one race. I was wrong.

Austin Forkner's lady friend. Seems a wise man made a poll about Monster Girls just recently.

Oh yeah...a "smart" racer would have totally done a cool commando roll on landing right after being taken out by another rider's mistake, and completely avoided injury. What a clown show take...

I think every fast 250 rider atm is crash/injury prone. What riders would u suggest him hiring?
Shimoda is prob the least crash prone in the 250s.
Jcoop and jett are prob next and look how much they crash and had the odd injuries.
Jmart seems to not crash that much but get injured everytime.
Rj,mosiman and mcadoo crash a lot and get injured occasionally.
Then u have the young guys who are always down or out. Brown, hammaker, Robertson, swoll,
Maybe Vohland and Hunter have been least injured over the last couple years. Vohland is injured now but.

The amount of dorks on here who constantly bring up Forkner’s girl is insane.

All the frail ego guys can’t handle:

1: that Forkner has crazy natural talent and speed and they are most likely slow on a dirt bike, if they even ride at all.

2: that Forkner pulls a Monster chick while they are either alone or sleeping next to a skin bag of mash potatoes every night.

Just a young group of crazy fast guys, riding the ragged edge. The guy who wins the series is gonna be the guy who is most successful at backing it down when they should. Jett seems to be the fastest at the moment with Forkner out he just needs to ride smart and not get into battles he doesn't need to fight.
There are guys out there that can give him a run for sure but I feel he has the edge. It could just as easily been him out for the season. I think Jordon smith can still be a threat. I also wonder if Forkner gets plated does he come back at some point, even if to just possibly help Mcadoo.
