I’m just hoping that they are both OK. At first I thought it was Jett fault, but after watching the replay I realized he hit the tough block. I truly hate when riders get hurt.
Jett was pushing really hard but just clipped that tuffblock and got taken right, feel really bad for Forkner just trying to get some consistent finishes and then that happens.
I'm no Jett fan for certain but there's no way he intended to collide with Forkner in mid-air. It's obvious that when Jett clipped the tough block it altered his trajectory.

Which would make its Jett’s fault. Doesn’t mean he did it on purpose.

I don’t think anyone thinks Jett did it on purpose. At least I hope not.
So.. not that anyone gives a crap... But I'll give my analysis anyway.. lol.. those whoops are slick. Just wait to see if the 450s get whiskey.. anyway, jetts bull ride through the whoops made the pass but drove him to the outside of the corner. His race craft knew fork was gonna run it in.. he held it wide and railed the f outa that outside line. Problem was, the outside line technically took him wider that the face of the jump. His momentum was drifted back right by the line on the track, and the tough block gave a tiny nudge to make what was going to happen, even worse..
I don't think it was intentional. Having said that, it is a bummer for Forkner, this might be the nail in the coffin for his career, the sport is brutal.

Yeah, it was Forkner’s fault that Jett hit a tough block!
They both hit the ground hard and I'm suprised Jett never got hurt. Looking at the vid I'd say Jett planted harder than Forkner but came out unscathed.
Bummed for Forkner and hope nothing is broken. Here's hoping that he is ok and makes Daytona.
I'm not trying to be biased here but if this was a normal main event then this incident may not have happened. Jett would have been a little more patient with the extra 8 minutes.
These 10 minute sprints are exciting but tends to lean towards arena cross type racing. I know most riders don't like these 3 heat events and this incident may raise further concerns.

What really matters is what’s the vital blame pie? Also, I’m waiting for the vital physicists to chime in. What’s the angle and trajectory of deflection of a launching Jett off a tough block when its center of mass is changed by its compressed forks and shock with built up kinetic energy? The unknown variable in this equation would be how many donuts were on board the Jett when it took off? Can someone draw me a diagram…with two sad faces?

100 percent racing, anyone who disagree lives in their mom's basement
So sad for Forkner what a way to get hurt.
