Looking for a high roof extended single rear wheel with the ecoboost. Let me know if anyone has any leads. I’ve been looking for quite some time now. Willing to travel.

Without getting raped. Good luck. I looked for similar and just bought a sprinter instead.

I looked at them but I’ve heard horror stories about them.

If you order a brand new one through the ford website you don’t get the huge price increase all the used ones have.

I sold my Transit a few months ago and bought a Metris. 40% better mileage and rides way better.

That's what ive been thinking lately..
Compared to trucks, vans are a steal. Built one on the build it ford page recently and it gets you exactly what you want, considering how many options and configurations available. Im sure you'll wait though.
Its tough with used market, besides the price mark up, most come with options and features i wouldn't want or vice versa.

I drive a Dodge Promaster for work and the thing has been bulletproof the first 100K miles. Would love one for a moto van I just can't justify buying one

I talked to a mechanic who maintains delivery vans of every make but Chevy. Because of the short drives delivering the diesels get solvered up and won’t re gen. He has to plug his lap top in and do a forced regen. The Mercedes diesel is the worst aluminum block, heads with a plastic intake. He was surprised that the best engine was the Ford 3.8 for mpg and reliability.

We have 11 transits that get the crap beat out of them. A few near 500,000 miles and really we have had no issues with any of them. Driveshafts were an issue early but nothing now. I may buy one of our old ones when we retire them.

Good luck finding one on a lot. We are looking for 2 right now, used ones here are $54,000-$60,000 and new ones are even more. Stupid times we live in.

Man, I had no idea prices were that out of hand..... I keep coming back to the idea of getting an Astro and doing an
LS/5-speed swap. Smile

I bought a new left over 2018 in July 2019. Extended dually high roof with Eco-boost for 40k. 87,000 on it now and seems I could probably sell it for about that! Really glad I found it when I did! Been a really good van👍

Awesome, did they give you a time frame on when you'll get it?

Short story, I bought a 2018 F150 Medium height short wheel base with 4800 miles for 24k. Its a lemon law buy back, I did the research and it was for reverse camera in the mirror, which works fine. It came with a one year unlimited mileage warranty from Ford. A little over a year and a half later 20 k miles no problems.

Good question, I just looked at some motor homes today, don’t tell the wife! The factory rep, told me they have a 2 year wait on their motorhomes. Said they can’t get any Ford transit van cut away chassis. he also said the Mercedes Sprinter van chassis’s were over a year out.

Used pricing is absolutely ridiculous. I’m looking to get one asap abs can’t wait 6-8 months for a new one.

I just put a deposit on a MB Metris this week. It is the 135" wb unit. It is 2022, it is already built but still in Spain. So it will be about 60 days to get it to Socal. It was 40K. My cousin has a couple of them for his business and loves them. We will see
