Mewse had factory engines, same as Vialle - people on here will say he didn’t, but he did, I know that for a fact. Maybe not for 2022? That I don’t know!

He has had his issues, for sure, but like Pootjes , Hsu, and a few others, he never converted his dominance on the small bikes, on to the bigger bikes, despite flashes.

I will take a punt and say its money related, halfway through a lucrative deal, the main reason is usually that it maybe was only lucrative on paper,

Have Hitachi not moved their money to Dave Thorpe’s Honda team in the UK? Maybe that’s why there’s no budget for him.

Crying Shame - a few weeks with a good sports psychologist and he’s top 3 every weekend. Lots of the Brits could do with this to be fair.

Mewse is a headcase for me. Such a talented rider, always has the speed to win races, imo it’s all mental. Hopefully he lands a ride soon

I saw that , but figured it was a tie up with Jake Nicholls dad, who's a sponsor of the team.

As a UK based team, do you go with UK only exposure?

If the sponsor was JCB then maybe. From what I know, Hitachi do the same as tru7 plant, so unsure.

I’d put Mewse on a 450 see how he goes. I’m no expert, but feel his style would suit the 450.

Conrad could be a good fit for F&H IMO

Rizzi on the move from 114.....? Maybe Conrad takes his seat and Joel takes the vacant KTM UK bike?

Just no.

He doesnt want to ride for a non-UK team, he spent too long alone in europe and he is over it .

That said, with no ride, you cant be fussy.

Horrendous mentality if that is true and he wants a long GP career. He's basically leaning on being with Dixon for the rest of his career then (if Dixon wants to employ him)?

Seems he has some mental stuff still going on. Wants to race UK only and get paid before moving to normal day job?

When you are touted as the next big thing, and you dont get there, the pressure is immense.. we see it everywhere. He lived his teenage years in a foreign country and he didnt handle it well... thats no slight on him, its just reality.

I dont blame him either, its just a shame he never got to fully show his promise... like has been said, a year in EMX 250 could have made him, but just as easily not.. there are a lot of guys that go there and vanish

IMO think something with Conrad’s deal was wrong or some terms within the deal he disagreed with. Can’t see him not wanting to race GP’s if he’s given an opportunity. Give the guy the right deal and put the right people around him and he’s quality. Just hope he gets that

Just realized that we're a month away from round 1 at Matterly, that's crazy.

I can’t think of a team apart from Hitachi KTM in the UK that’s got the budget to do a full season of GP’s. He’s either gotta stay doing the British Nationals or go abroad for a ride.

Mewse will probably end up with Dixon. No chance he'll be with the factory KTM team.

I can imagine the arrival of Gifting hasn't helped the situation. Having a competitive teammate and some of the attention taken away from you is probably quite difficult to handle.

As others have mentioned, moving up to MX2 too soon has surely not helped his career.

Don't know about Gifting. If Mewse rides like he did in '18 or '20 in the GP's Gifting will have to work hard to beat him.

Thing with Mewse is that he like a light version of Covington. When he is ''on'' he can get a podium in GP's, when he is off he struggles to get a top 6 finish season all season long.

He injured his hand in Germany, and i dont think he got back to do another GP.. looks like Hitachi arent running a 450... he is a decent rider, deserves a seat.. he was F&H didnt set the world on fire, but nobody else has since .

Bogers and Herlings will race 29.1 Spanish championship round 1 at Montearagon Toledo.
Some others might also join as many training in Spain now.
Should be live at youtube.
Here is last years race:

Off season was very very short, this year... I wonder how the riders will handle it... Rough job.

I agree. Hope this doesn’t work out a bummer for people like BW919 as he’s not had much time since he signed for kawi plus around Christmas was only testing a stock kawi at searles track. Looks like he’s in Italy now with the full bike and team but still no announcement on that. Been wondering what pipe will the bike have etc etc as ice one worked with different brands than the old kawi team. Plus Ben has no team mate to learn from atm every one said RF3 would be great for Ben to learn but so far he’s not back on the bike

Mewse was what, 22 in 2021? At least that's what I read on the TMX site - I thought he was much younger.

If so, with the idiotic Luongo rule of '23 and you're out', it's his last year for the World Championships in MX2. So, he's either to get an MXGP ride, or, stick to (various) National races ( he dominated Brit MX2 in 21), or, try his hand in the USA - the largest pair of National series.

Cripes, the young man needs someone like Dixon to hire him - look at the boost / extension to Zacho's career that came from Steve backing him to do a few SXs.

I cannot emphasize how much I utterly despise the age out rule in MX2!
