Great to see Malcolm with a big picture mindset.
I was always thought it odd that Stew said Malcolm had more talent on a bike than him. Starting to see why Stew says it.
And just incase theres any confusion - Im not referencing his block pass on Anderson last weekend. That was good clean racing.
Marvins pass attempt of malcolm was stupid. Malcolm has also done stupid things. So has damn near every rider.
Both can be true. Everyone acts like the latest thing you did is a referendum on you as a rider. Marvins move was incredibly stupid for round 1 in a 17 round series. That’s all Malcolm was saying. If it was round 16 or 17 then yea you can expect a move like that. But round 1? Not smart could of ended their seasons before they even start.
And it’s no where close to what Malcolm did to Anderson. That was a classic block pass/I’m gonna stand you up. Anderson just ran out of momentum and fell over.
Mookie’s upset because it seems he’s more heavily invested in this season than previously, which is great to see and fully understandable.
Marv looked more aggressive than we’re used to, which is also great to see. Unfortunately he didn’t execute cleanly, but it’s easy to see why he asked”why didn’t you brake?” From his point of view and without having seen a replay at this stage, he thought he had the pass made before the contact.
Sorry for the poor quality broadcast screen shot, but Marv had blocked Mookie and was actually in front of him before the contact.
Racing incident all day long, move along.
Pit Row
Shame!
Age old rule of not taking yourself out as well… Especially Rd 1.
Rookie move.
