He isn’t bad, but damn. Can’t they find someone who knows the sport to do the floor interviews. Maybe someone who can breakdown the bike and show things that you would normally not see.

Side note, I know they have been trying to inject female commentators for years. Glad to see Kristen Beat finally get the opportunity. She has been putting work in the trenches with AX and Endurocross

I was curious if we were gonna be stuck in another season long “Rut(ledge)” with this new guy, but a little internet research reveals that he grew up in Killeen Tx and raced MX as a kid!
He certainly seemed to know who MC was and he says he’s texting with Mossiman etc…I’m glad to see a new face other than that dufus Rutledge and if he grew up riding/racing moto I bet his moto background becomes more apparent as the season rolls on!

I’m just DAMN glad its anyone but Rut! 😎👍

I think he's a great addition. He's plenty fine as a commentator and I'm a big believer in the idea that if you want to be involved in the sport but can't make it yourself you become successful enough that they can't not notice you. From his mouth he is a superfan, he's living his dream!

As for Joseph Allen, that this thread is about - I'm just catching up on this after a morning ride while waiting for the live stream, and he seems to be pretty bloody good.

And not just good in comparison to that utter twat that was / is Rutledge.

The young lady that I see interviewing Bam Bam, is good too. I don't remember her from the Flat Track races I try to catch up on. Though, I've not seen a live stream of AFT for a while - If I watched all the Motorcycle Sport I'm interested in on streaming, I'd never get off my arse and do other things.
