With Vialle signed a contract to go MXGP in 23 and Matti #101 going GasGas with DiCarli they have a hole to fill at KTM, normally Hofner should be next in line for the title...

Wont surprise me if they pick Everts and doing someone else to Diga. Vialle made a big step with the team, I can see Everts do the same. Makes the most sense..
Maybe KTM will do what they sometimes do and sign some unknown. Who knows? Maybe I'll get the call. Where do I sign?

Watson needs to up his game at Factory Kawasaki. He cant be lost at lap down one weekend and good next weekend.
If everyone comes season health it will take good ride to make it in top 10 for anyone.

Kawasaki and Mathys have now reached an agreement with the help of Hervé Broyer's Team2B/BOS/CBO group allowing Mathys to continue the adventure in 450. This will allow Boisrame to remain active on the 450 machine.

Do they pull Everts in? Or even leave a seat empty.. they have Vialle and Guardianini.. do they need a 3rd guy?

I expect them to take their time either way.
I think Liam Everts was probably the next in line, but now still a little too early to have him in the front line
Everts and DeWolf raced each other throught their junior/amateur days from 65's to 125's.
Look where DeWolf is now compared to Everts.I think Everts doesn't have that extra percent to be a contender at the moment
So far i've seen nothing from Everts that would make me sign him to a top (factory) team. I think he's riding on the coat tails of his dad for now.

Did you see anything from Vialle before KTM took him in? Factory team can make you go just little faster and mostly when you talk about MX2 and KTM motors.

Belgium needs more talent at this moment. Money, sponsors and teams are there for any belgium rider that stands over the crowd. Everts will get a chance for sure.

How strange was the announcement for Boisrame team. Seems they weren’t so happy with Ben getting the ride instead of him.

From what I can see, Boisrame will be in a Kawasaki satellite team, with close connection to the factory. So much so that Ben and Boisrame are testing at the same tracks now. Good move by Kawasaki, as Ben will know that Boisrame is on his heels from day 1.

I did not and was surprised. But imo Vialle also did not have the best setting (equipment & support) up till that point, where Everts has not lacked that.

People think Everts has everything he dreams about. But he raced without factory suspension this season (stock being set-up right).

On the other hand Vialle raced one or maybe two years in the EMX250 Class in KTM Liebers Team. Those bikes where the same level as Liam his bikes this year.

He's been running WP 48mm CV kit forks and the Trax shock as well.

I thought the Lieber family went on with their team, one season while Julien was already racing MXGP. This was with Pootjes but I thought it was with Vialle.

Are we seeing a pattern here with teams 250 trying to spread their wings a little , by taking guys to 450 instead of handing them off to another team.

Costs in 250 is high, no point turning up without a serious motor, 450 you can stick a pipe and an ECU on them and then are good to go with the right suspension, and they dont blow up.

We have seen F&H go 450 with Jed Beaton ( after he left under a bit of a cloud) , now Fernandez with 114.. and Lapucci with Fantic.

We also saw Hitachi KTM step up with a 450 for Adam Sterry.

I think this makes sense, why pull a guy through EMX into MX2 , throw a shit ton of money at it , for someone else to benefit.

Having a 450 guy gives double the exposure, and as far as F&H are concerned,,they ran 3 guys this year and they were all a bust over the course of the season. .

I rate Fernandez, he will be the best of the new guys .

Did RF have to go MXGP on the age rule? I thought he had 1 more year, and deserved the factory 250, especially as it’s a new crf for 22. Odd decision for Honda.

Pootjes was on his 4rd year of his 5 year official KTM contract. Lieber had factory bikes the year prior and they continued the team for Pootjes. He got injured and Vialle got the chance to ride his bike in EMX after he won a race on a French team. Pootjes went to Diga and Vialle to KTM

There was talk that Fernandez will get HRC 250f Honda next season if he finished season in top5 or something.
After he got injured he didnt make it. Maybe 114 team will get "better" 450 for him than their tuned 250f that will be underpowered against KTMs for big guy like Fernandez. Evans been away more than year there been just one 450 Honda running top 15 so maybe they want another guy if Evans or Gajser gets hurt.

Having a 450 rider only "gives double the exposure" if he actually finishes in the top 10 often. A guy like Sterry got some exposure in mx2, not in mxgp

I think the last few GP's showed the teams the perks of having more bikes of your color out there.

Fernandez's bike will be full factory, just under the 114 tent. And they will have a good MX2 rider too, announcement will come soon. Not sure about Rizzi, though. He may be back in England searching for a ride.

Interesting in watsons last interview he said if he had the time again he would do it different. He specifically mention he had no trainer and thought that was a mistake. Its a crazy idea but thought it would be good if he had someone like TS100 just like he had Jamie dobb. Think some one in his corner giving him advice would be good.

Also mentioned that he didn’t really make any changes with the bike. Hopefully if he gets the kawi ride he’s given the opportunity and full support for what he wants then I think he could be really fast. I was most impressed by his starts this year as his gate picks were terrible from poor qualifying. Do think he needs to improve there but does show he’s a great starter.

Also think people forget to quick especially Yamaha as he was top mx1 guy at MXON poor from Yamaha IMO.

For me, if you are on a factory team, you shouldnt need to be paying your own guy , the Factory Yamaha set up was big enough for them to have someone .

There is a reason Dobb isnt in the paddock any more, he was a parasite that fucked over more guys than he helped,

He got found out, and good thing too.

The 'Covid' life has screwed Ben's chances big time, because with a condensed schedule, and no qualy races. and very few weekends off to do nationals, making changes is a difficult thing to do .... the golden rule with any changes , is to always start with what you know, then try what you you want to try , else you get lost, which we have seen over and over.

Like i have said before , he worked with Vimond at Yamaha, and was working with Febvre already.and the family is known to Kimi from when Nathan raced for them, i genuinely think he can be a contender , he has 8 years left in him easily. .
@philG would love to know more about your comments on Dobb? I’ve always been a fan but never heard of this stuff before?

I disagree.

With social media as it is now, there is more mileage in just being in MX1 , than winning in EMX. and running top 10 in MX2.

Using Sterry as an example, he is a much better use of bike and resources than Mewse in MX2, the only reason Mewse is there is because he can win MX2 in the UK, be interesting to see how having a decent team mate in Gifting will rattle his cage.
