But my point is that many of the dipshits on this forum will think it’s actually real.
- Synthetic Sound System
- Active Electromagnetic Suspension
- Traction Control
…I can go on but it needs to be on par with F1
How many times did we read that on this forum??
Yes, yes, we know, Thankyou. Please for the love of God can people stop informing us it’s just a KTM with red plastic. Yet they still continue to ‘break the news’.

Point: You can't start generating revenue until you have product for sale, so get to market quickly while developing innovations to release later.
So, I would release a line of Gas powered bikes on the KTM platform with changes, then put the majority R&D money into developing electric bikes, both dirt and street.
Leverage KTM's and part manufacturer's technology and manufacturing as much as possible for first generation bikes.
Release the following models on KTM platform for the 2022 Outdoor season, then the 2023 SX season with changes that differentiate:
4 Stroke
450F
350F
250F
2 Stroke
250
125
85
65
50
Changes:
* Forks: KYB spring forks. Dial in the valving perfectly for each bike.
* Shock: KYB or what KTM uses now. Some testing will be required.
* Titanium foot pegs
* Upgraded bars
* Yoshimura or other pipe upgrade as standard equipment. At least on the bigger bikes.
* Bold New Graphics with a unique, and ultra cool look. Break the mold here. Hire a great designer. Don't skimp.
For marketing purposes, and to build brand loyalty for up and comers, buy Stacyc. Rebrand Triumph Stacyc.
Gas powered bikes should leverage KTM's engineering for engines. A new gas powered engine should not be developed.
Then innovate:
For all bikes, develop an aluminum frame and subframe that keeps weight distribution identical to the steel frame.
Keep some of the flex people enjoy in the KTMs, with the weight advantages of aluminum.
If adjustments need to be made, by all means dial it in.
This would be a good time to redesign the plastics.
This frame may be able to be licensed to KTM or the other KTM brands on a royalty basis.
Then develop an all electric bike using a frame similar to the one developed for the 250F.
Design with the ability to either easily swap batteries, upgrade or add additional batteries.
Hire a great team of designers that will make the bike look cutting edge and futuristic, while still looking tough.
I would release a 50cc class electric first, then work up the line.
Modify the look of the Stacyc to look like a little brother of the 50cc class electric so the kids on Stacyc will see the 50cc class electric as the next bike to have.
The street side would require a different strategy.
1.) Require more funding from factory
2.) Make a lousy powerpoint presentation for higher ups
3.) Require more funding from factory
4.) Make a shitty 3D model for the upper management
5.) Require more funding from factory
6.) Announce fake rider line-up that includes retirees who never heard a word from you.
7.) Require more money for the factory to "start this ambitious project"
!Now the most important part!
8.) Transfer the funding to your off-shore account
9.) Change your name
10) Flee to safe country and enjoy this achievement! You are one of dozen people who were able to make money in motocross.
If you want your company to survive and thrive, you leverage what's available to you, then use the budget you have to innovate.
If I were to step into the CEO role at Triumph, that's the basic plan I'd follow, and Triumph would thrive.
Although I'm not into electric dirt bikes, for the street, I find them downright sexy!
As a technologist, I would love to develop a completely 100% cutting edge line of electric street bikes.
With the profit, I'd then build out a few Harley destroying, earth shaking, bad to the bone, gas powered models too.
You’d have to pay them out the ass to use there platform.
Quite possibly the dumbest thread on vital
“If I was ceo of triumph it would thrive” lol ok what multi million(billion?) dollar company do you run?
Quality.
Post a reply to: You're the designer of Triumph, with a clean sheet of paper. What do you do?
