After changing the pilot, the bike felt very lean on the needle, very "zingy" if that makes sense. Always heard to go rich on the needle to the point of slight gurgle around half throttle, then back off slightly till it cleans up... Went from clip 2, 42-74 needle to clip 3, 43-74 needle for a total of 1.5 effective clip positions richer. Still no drastic rich gurgle at half throttle after fully warmed up and cleaned out. Power all around seems much broader, better pull down low and no weird flat spot then BRAAAAP!! Seems more linear and predictable.
Anyone else using the JD tool free air screw?
I haven't seen one of JD's air screw, but I suspect that they are based, taper wise off of Honda's OEM Mikuni's, which have a more linear taper, which allows for finer/ less aggressive tuning, than the KTM equipped Mikuni's, if I remember correctly.
I did get the VHM carbon fiber air boot insert installed - here's a couple pics. The stock filter cage fits just fine, but what doesn't fit is the regular KTM/Husky air box wash cover. Had to order the Twin Air cover - it has more clearance.
Pretty happy with the porting and these carb settings. I'll run this for a while before I toss on the PWK/STIC

I am an Italian guy, I have a Husky TC 125 2021 that I use for enduro races, but I am in trouble finding the right carb setting, mainly because just past the first quarter throttle the carburetion seems constantly very rich.
any of you have any advice for me?
or can you tell me the basic setting of the Husky TX 125 2021 US (not europe)?
Thank you.
