What kind of fuel would be good for this bike? First four stroke in a really long time can’t really find ethanol free fuel around here but do have access to Sunoco 260gt at the pump. It’s a unleaded 100octane oxygenated fuel.

The Sunoco gtx helped throttle response on my 2019 250rx compared to pump fuel. Not sure on the 2022 yet.

Update: Kid raced an arenacross this weekend. Bike worked great with stock suspension (6' 1" 165lbs) and better than his previous Kawi. Used aggressive map and the starts were on point using launch control. Second place start every moto and main in both 250B and Open B. He got his season best finish in Open and even lead the 250B main for a bit, and ran second untill a big mistake with 2 laps to go.

Stock bar mounts are junk and were all tweaked after a small crash. He didn't like the seat cover and wants a little more traction there. Other than that, just adjusted the chain once and checked sag.

Does it come with a full skid plate? Most reviews looked like it had one but hard to tell if it’s aftermarket add on or stock. They all looked the same which is why I’m asking if it came stock.

It is more similar to a $50 acerbis than any $150 plate I have seen.

Anyone have any insight as to when pipes will start rolling out? I don’t know when the pro circuit and FMF etc start making pipes for the new gens. Yosh seems to be available but I’m sure they have early development going with Honda.

I could use one too. Oh, and a subframe.

Sh*t DD325! I hope you are not hurt!

...the irony, I'm still waiting, no '22s have come to Sweden yet and you have managed to tweak the subframe already on a '22.

That's living in different parts of the world! Smile

It was my kid and yes, he is fine. Cased a triple and bike went a flipping. No parts available yet so time to strap it to something and try to straighten things out. Exhaust took the worst of it so ill do my best to fix it until aftermarket starts shipping.

Before I ride it, I am going to put some grips and chain on it. I am also going to put the Twin Air PowerFlow kit on it. Better air flow, and also easier to make sure there is no dirt / water in the airbox after a wash.

Check the spokes, go over all the other bolts. I will adjust the sag at the track after I ride it a bit. I have heard the suspension is a bit stiff, which should be perfect for me. I am 165, but I went up a spring rate on my 2020 Yamaha forks.

The manual is pretty vague about break in, basically don't ride it hard for the first 15km. My plan is to do four 15 motos, riding it a bit harder each time, till the last moto is basically a normal one. Give it time to cool down between motos.

I am impressive with the build quality, even in comparison to the Yamaha. The chain looks like garbage and the pegs are not as nice, but otherwise it's a beautiful bike.

My chain stretched more in 3 hours than my ktm O-ring did in 35. Hopefully it has taken a set and will stay this way for a while. I also split a grip near the flange, but I hit it pretty hard on the end.

The 2022 demoday is today, i will get to try the bike in a couple of hours. I'm pretty sure that i'll like it, the track is also a perfect 250 track.

The local Honda dealer has 1 on the floor, i wonder if it will still be there after this week haha.

Picked up my 2022 a couple days ago. Got to put in 20 minutes on it last night, and already feel comfy. Coming from a 19 RMZ250, this thing is a huge upgrade in many ways. Corners just as well if not better. Gains in power bottom to top. Magic button is life changing

I always just have it 1 solid easy ride before I ride normal. Everyone has their ways but on my 19 Honda 250 and my current ride. One 10-15 min moto going somewhat easy. Double check fasteners and what not. Then normal, which is a pretty rough. Im fairly certain, every engine out of the factory hits a dyno run before shipping.

Have you checked any Honda dealers in your area? I just ran availability on the subframe and it is available. A little pricey but if its needed, there's at least two available to order. I work at a dealer in NC and we ship if needed!

subframe should be same part number as 450

You'd be correct. The '22 250R, 250RX, 450R, RWE, AND RX all share the same subframe.

Ridden mine one time so far, I’m coming off a 125 so can’t compare it to any other 250fs but the power feels good. Thing handles awesome and feels real light in the air. Suspension feels a bit harsh coming from kyb I have the next step lighter springs for it but I’m not sure if I should wait and let the suspension break in?
