I'm really happy for Jett and his whole family, so congratulations to them all. They put everything on the table when they went to Europe, the sacrifices and living like gypsies chasing the dream must have been stressful.

Then to finally get a good ride in the USA and now winning a first title is like a fairy tail with a happy ending.

They are a humble family....I'd say typical Aussies... great people and together they made it happen.

Furthermore, congratulations to all you Aussies, you guys have an awesome ambassador flying your flag and you have every reason to be proud.

A little story about a fine days practice at Scotty Drake's Compound in Fulton NY. The day started with a typical South African breakfast in our motorhome. Darren, Hunter and Jett joined us and over breakfast we discussed the hardships of us foreigners trying to make it across the pond. I cooked and Darren jumped straight into cleaning dishes...never ask to help...he got stuck in...even sweeping the floors.

Later in the morning my riders 450 started acting up and I was diagnosing the problem...Darren says, hey Floppy, leave the thing alone, i know what's wrong.

He jumped right in and went straight to the problem, nothing major and he actually taught me something.

Something interesting about Jett is how tight he runs his headset on his bike. If you ever have the opportunity to turn his bars whilst the bike is on the stand you may be surprised. Both my rider and myself where like my god...thats a first.

Anyway, again, congratulations to ya all.

The celebrations look epic, some major engine abuse, but it handled it

Not to forget Hunter finishing 3rd in the series!
He was struggling the last few rounds but brought it home..

I can't imagine 2 brothers finishing in the top 3 has happened too often, if ever

Cooper went out and did exactly what he needed to do today. Unfortunately for him, so did Jett. Massive congratulations on a great championship run, and here’s to (hopefully) many more!

Very much edge-of-the-seat viewing. Heightened pulse too. Even in the 2nd half of 250 moto two, every bump was there to bite Jett. Only with half a lap to go was it time to back down the anxiety.

What a great family. Jett even said how the winnings were not for himself but for the family.

Interesting how the 450's were the support act today. Worked out well.

So good to have some more Aussies up there to barrack for!
Second ever AMA title for an Aussie after Reedy’s titles. Hopefully it’s the start of a career just as prestigious.

Congrats to Jettson! First guy I've rooted for who has won a title in a long time.

To think some factory teams laughed at the idea of hiring the Lawrence Bro's. Crow is being eaten by multiple people right now

Congrats to Jett. Cooper finished on the box every round and came up short. Has that ever happened before?

I’ve always cheered for the Aussies since my wife’s family lives in jindabyne and I love the people. Congrats to the whole family on one hell of a season for both brothers.

I'd have to look, but seeing as Windham finished 2nd overall 10 times in his career, I'm sure it's happened more than once.

Edit: Never happened with Windham. Maybe with Reed.

Edit 2: Hasn't happened with Reed either.

Dungey almost did it in 2013, but had one bad moto at Red Bud where he finished 34th. I thought he might have in 2008 as well on a 250 but he had a couple bad motos there as well.

Assuming you'll pass the conversation section where we'll see if you can seemlessly slip 'fuggen' into the middle of a word for emphasis, and where you call someone you like a cunt and someone you don't, mate

You're one of us haha

I'll step in here if you like..
People were saying that the only reason Hunter got the second ride at HRC was because of Jett and that other Geico riders deserved it more..
I did point out to one of them that the only reason Jett got the Geico ride was because of Hunter haha

Yes I was just being facetious (How is that a word? haha) Everyone (apart from the kooks obvs) could see the massive up side to both brothers

1986 Rick Johnson 500 MX (6 races). Made the podium at each race and finished 2nd overall (267pts.) to David Bailey (273pts.)

Different era, but nonetheless he still made the podium at each round and came up short.

After listening to the Whiskey Throttle interview of the family, this title is so much more special to us fans, and these two kids are going to give us a great future! Thanks Jettson, congrats to Hunter, too, and I bet Pops is really feeling good today!
