2stroke pipe repair

Is there a good shop that can repair 2stroke expansion pipes? I have an OEM RM250 header that has some dents but also is tweaked pretty good. Is it even possible to put in a gig and get straightened back up?

I’ve done the water and pressure washer trick before. I am wondering if places like Pipe Repair can straighten a one that’s bent and tweaked?

You'd have to explain your specific situation to them, I'd be speculating.

^^^ priceless. Nothing beats firsthand experience.

My experience is clearly out of date here.

Sorry for any potential bad steers here.

I had a few dented up pipes and couldn't find a pipe repair business and didn't want to buy more pipes. I found a DIY kit on ebay, figured I try it. Low and behold, it worked awesome, so much that I'm thinking of offering to fix other people's pipes. Plus it ended up being kind of fun heating up the pipes and watching the dents come out with air pressure building in it.

Pacific Crest Pipe Repair has stolen my PC pipe and my money for over a year and one occurrence of communication like he was looking in to getting my stuff done and back to me and then nothing and that seems to be status quo for that place now with the new owner. I do not understand how this guy has not been arrested for theft, how can we make that happen?

Has anyone used their services on 2 stroke pipe repairs & what was your experience ?   It appears that Pacific Crest pipe repair is no longer in business.  Looking to get a oem CR250r pipe repaired.

I used Front Range last year and would highly recommend them. Turn around was very fast and good communication.

I usually get my own dents out, but this pipe had a big crease and smashed neck section. I didn't want to mess with it, Front Range did a great job with it. Only had to do a minor tweak on the neck to get it lined up perfectly.

FRPR did my oem 89 cr250 pipe earlier this year- stripped the paint, blued the welds and repaired a dent it had. It came out great and the entire process was quick.

I have never used them but their service looks amazing. Although I did use a company out of New England many years ago with great results on a SPES pipe. If memory serves me right it was called Fusion One. I believe his name was Joe and he did a great job.

Fusion did a pipe for me also, and it came out great.

He is a member here, and is no longer doing pipe repairs, bummer for us east coast guys.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I decided to step away from pipe repairs and enjoy the additional time to enjoy riding more. I passed my techniques and lessons learned to Jon at FRPR, he does an excellent job and I recommend him highly. - Joe.
