Bengals are lovely cats. I’ve heard they’re hard work though, constantly meowing & they want to play all the time. Highly intelligent animals & easily trainable. Does your cat love water? Do you mind me asking how much you paid for your Bengal & do you know the grade it is?

My friend had a Bengal and said it was quite demanding. My two Ocicats also abit demanding~they also like water~stand in water bowl~may get them a little paddling pool. Burmese cats are also right characters-we had 2 of them years ago~were so funny and played all the time..my two Ocicats in pics eyes have came out weird in pics cos of flash~but sort of cool

This is the first cat I've ever owned. Harley has been amazing since we got him around 3 months old. He meow'd a lot until we got his nuts snipped off when he was 7 months old or so. He is definitely fascinated by water and loves to dab at any faucet that is running. As for playing all the time, yes, Bengals need a lot of activity since they are essentially a breed of jungle cat and have a high degree of intellect. We slowly began to let him outside for short periods of time while keeping a close eye on him, which seemed to chill him out when inside the house. Now he goes outside whenever he wants and comes in when we call him. After a full day (or night) living his best cat life, when he comes inside he just snuggles right up to my wife and I and falls asleep. He's an awesome cat, and I'm a dog-guy. ;-)

We paid about $1400 for him but made sure that it was NOT from a breeder. We bought it from some nice mormon couple who happened to have had 2 Bengals that got it on and had a litter. We asked tons of questions, was able to visit their house which made us feel comfortable buying the little dude with (I hope) comfort that we were not buying a cat from some breeding factory. He just had his 9 month checkup and he's as healthy as a cat could be. We love him.

That Bengal cat is a really lovely looking thing. My friend had a golden one, was like a little leopard. He said something about them being 'graded' or 'rated' but wasn't quite sure what he meant.

Are some really super looking cats in this thread.

Domestic cats were bred with the Asian Leopard Cat, there are typically 5 grades. F1 is an offspring off an Asian Leopard while an F5 is a great great great grandparent. The F1’s are the most expensive of all. They are truly an amazing animal & something me & the oh have seriously considered when our beloved Charlie leaves this planet. It would have to be a house cat, 2 reasons, there is a major road where we live & we’ll be worried about someone stealing such a unique cat. Also I’ve read they can be a real pain in the ass, climb everywhere, they’ll steal your keys & hide them Shocked they learn to turn your lights on and off. They like to take stuff apart. Super intelligent animals.

Wow- yes thanks for explaining the Bengal grades- never understood it when my friend spoke of it.

Also yes- we also live like just 10 foot from major busy road- my two cannot go out and luckily they have never wanted to- so they are very used to being house cats and content it seems luckily.
Have lost a few cats in the past in road accidents and don't want to repeat it.

I have though wanted to maybe sell the house here and move- to somewhere with a safe garden- then they can go out!
Those Bengals sound too much! Imagine them stealing your keys! Funny but demanding! I bet they could take your life over but sound super interesting.

My two Ocicats are enough... I often fall asleep with them at night, they lie on your head and face purring loudly... I wake at dawn with them- I'm half asleep- they get all lively at dawn and start beating me up- sort of whacking my face and the big one bites me, on the nose/ back and also pulls my nose and gently jabs my eyes with his claws! I have to get out of the room. The other one isn't much better really- right pair of nutters. Shocked At least they sort of know not to beat me up too bad- they sort of do it gently - well, given the big 'un is 20lb he whacks and bites me fairly gently...within reason. haha- I guess though it is quite funny.

Turf war in the hood today Sparring partners Ollie (left) and Amigo (right). Having a discussion this afternoon. Ollie lives across the street and pretty much keeps to his area, Amigo roams the neighborhood and starts shit with most of the neighborhood cats. Amigo has a distinct size advantage and has the rep of the neighborhood bully. Ollie is smaller but is as serious as a heart attack, he’s a scrapper who catches big rats. I think he’s the one who took the piece out of Amigos ear. Laughing They got the hose today before they dove in, but they sat there face to face yelling at each for close to 5 minutes Laughing Afternoon cheap entertainment. Laughing The sound was awesome

We adopted Ted, this female last December. She had been a young mother and was dumped. She’s a damn good mouser, extremely vocal (talks to me constantly) and follows me around like a dog. Judging by how she acts, I’m pretty sure she loves her new home.

This is Tyvin (Ty) he passed away on April 5th, the same say as Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley, my two favorite artists. It was two years ago now and I still miss him every single day. He was the coolest cat, in a room full of people he would go around to each person and get petted. I want to get another cat, but nothing can replace him.

Here’s my cat Bella. We couldn’t find her one night , but my wife said that she could hear her meowing behind our house. We got a flashlight and found her stuck about 40 feet up in a pine tree. I put her in the backpack so I could safely get us down.

Harry and Hank. My girlfriends cats but I’m not gonna lie they’ve grown on me, I like them. Never thought I would, always had dogs. Only thing I don’t like is the 3 am wrestlemania or knocking stuff over, but overall..they’re cool

Ted has become quite the savage hunter. I witnessed her takedown of this hawk a couple nights ago as it swooped down and nabbed the mouse she was stalking. Don’t mess with Ted!

So this guy is 19 yrs old- a month ago he was really sick, lost a bunch of weight and my wife called to schedule an appt for that day to have him put to sleep..As we were preparing to leave I just knew it wasn’t time so I made my wife cancel the appt.

Here he is the other day, fully recovered. Caught him jumping this gap..

No pictures, but I had a barn cat for a good while.
His head was grapefruit size, and he had balls to match.
I called him "Testiclese".
He was a killer. Smoked possums, and any rat.
I figure the coyotes finally out numbered him.
Ain't no way one got him.
