I did some research and although it seems speculative, I bought 30 shares of SAVA. Bought them wednesday morning, and I'm down about 20% so far. What a run that stock has had in the last 12 months. Some analysts still see some runway ahead. I hope so. We'll see...
Yep. If the news at the conference is good, it could run to 150-200. If it isn’t it could go to 20. Lol. I bought 1000 shares at 81.90 and should have sold at 108 or so. Nobody said I was smart. lol

Stock price is not about valuation all of a sudden and more about how many "likes" buys it gets like instagram or YouTube. It sucks. A company can report record numbers and it almost always goes down now. Life is just a social contest these days.

Yes but it's a pretty small position. I have been watching it, wanting to add. Holding off pulling the trigger. But then I used up almost all my free cash adding Suncor late Friday at its daily low. Didn't think order that would fill but it did. Now I'm wondering how much lower that will go. Which it's bound to, my luck. And what I can sell now.

OPEC just announced today that they will deliver more oil. So yeah, expect the crude price to drop a bit in the near future. But overall, I’m still bullish on oil for the next couple years

I find it pretty frustrating how little fundamentals seem to matter so much of the time. All it takes is a tweet from the right person now to make or break a lot of companies that should stand well on their merits.

I've benefited and been burned by this phenomenon, but the unpredictability of it stresses me out.

Still got your SAVA? Touched $118 today. If the news is good I could see $150. Highly speculative and risky though. I made a quick 50k Canadian so far. Will buy more E3 metals if SAVA keeps poppin’

Yes, still holding SAVA. I have no exit plan, so I’d any recommendation appreciate you could offer on an exit! I’m usually and “buy & hold” guy, but that likely isn’t too smart especially with this one…

Here’s my warped version.
Three possible scenarios.
— buy on rumour sell on news. Sell now and take the profits. Make 20-30%
— could get shorted hard before the news conference. Run up to just before the conference on the 29th and sell. Maybe make 40% or more on your money. Or lose some or break even. Little higher risk for higher reward.
— news has been leaked a little and the 9 month results are as good as many are saying. Plus the SAVAdx blood test works awesome, and it shows people that have a predisposition to Alzheimer’s and it tells these people to take the SAVA preventative medicine early to avoid it. Hang on through the conference and presentation and the stock could run to 200+. Super high risk. But possible super high gains. Or lose half your money if the news is blah. The way I look at is his scenario is why would the CEO go to speak at the largest medical conference for Alzheimer’s in the world if the news wasn’t good. And he has already hinted that the 9 month results are super pleasing to see.

So, I am doing the last one. Holding to after and likely sell soon after. You will have to do what’s right for you. Great profits in the pocket if you sell now. But this is gambling. Period.

Anybody else on the IPA wave yesterday? Was a pretty wild ride.

Once again I find myself saying damn I should have bought more. But also have a feeling I maybe should have sold what I have mid-day yesterday when I couldn't make up my mind. My biggest problem still - when to sell. Will be very wild if their cocktail really comes through though, for real.

IPA? What’s that about?

Ahhhh. Looked it up. Interesting for sure.

I bought some SU calls, they are a Canadian oil company with earnings coming on the 28th. Their one year chart looos good, plus incoming earnings should be good

Thursday is the conference. Fingers crossed. I’m up pretty good already. 1000 shares @ $81.5 or so. Or $81.90 I think. 🤔

Ugh, down 17% on the day as I type. Very volatile day.

Don't be surprised if this market takes an even bigger shit. It's not even in correction territory yet. If I was a buyer I would be keeping my powder dry. We need to see another 4 or 5% to make it a good correction. S&P is still at 20 time earnings. Average is closer to 16.

Disclaimer:
Past performance is not necessarily an indication of future blah blah blah.
Real disclaimer:
Do your DD and don't listen to me.
Over 2 1/2 years later and I'm still rolling over 'The Sky is Falling' OP...everyone goin' all "Red October" as I get the feeling they weren't around to experience October of 1987.

Yep. Effin’ short attack. This should be criminal. The SEC is not doing a good job protecting from this. It’s disgusting

And Trevor Milton was formally charged with fraud today, for misleading investors with his claims about Nikola’s (NKLA) progress. NKLA stock is down 15% today. Part of me thinks this is a good buying opportunity. I am one of the few that still has faith in NKLA.

They have made some recent progress however, releasing a few of their BEV trucks for sale. FCEL trucks will be coming next year. And the massive manufacturing plant in Arizona is nearing completion…

Which makes sense with the new retail investor interest, not to mention HF able to manipulate with psychological warfare. To me, the only way to make consistent income with the market is to have a lot of irons in the fire and not get overly greedy

Keep Proterra on your radar.

Company is making great progress with their EV buses and getting big contract after big contract with various cities.

What has been happening with GRIL over the past year is truly maddening to me Angry

I don't have a ton of money in it, but it is irritating me nonetheless.

Down over 50% over the past year and 66% from 52 week highs despite good acquisitions and continued business during that time.

They just reported a revenue increase of +228% YOY with a huge improvement on EPS and are down over 10% in the last 2 days.
