Anyone make pants that are knee brace resistant? My FXR Helium pants are shredded after two rides. I love the pants but my knee braces are destroying them. All suggestions are welcome.

Try either Asterisk or Leatt knee brace pants.

Need to have the leather knee patch. Before using the pant get a couple of denim knee patches from Walmart and use a glue gun and iron to attach the on the inside of the pants. Makes them last much longer. Hillbilly but it works.

AM pants are made in the USA in PA. They hold up well, light and I like them.

I've worn everything. Fox, Thor, Fly, AXO, Lancer, Hallman, Answer, MSR, 365, TLD, JT (new and old) and I could go on.

I've been wearing knee braces since 1984, hence the old stuff like Lancer, but these AM pants hold up really good, light and fit well.

The Thor Prime Pro pants use a kevlar panel inside of the full grain leather and are super durable without being insanely thick. Also make sure you aren't using Oxi Clean as it dries out the leather in any pants and they just fall apart after a few washes.

Our all new top line race team tried, and tested pants are unbeatable, more flexible, durable, and
lighter, the 5.5 pant will give you ultimate comfort and first layer protection.
A completely new fit incorporating an anti-roll waist system that locks into the rear yolk, meaning
you won’t be caught with your pants down!
Full grain leather knees offer the ultimate in wear resistance as part of our multi layered signature
Internal Knee Brace System (IKS), this reduces the wear and tear from knee braces using different
materials in critical places whilst not effecting the comfort and feel.

We have provided you with the link below to our I.K.S pants.

These photos show how certain areas stretch to accommodate the knee brace/guard as well as the leather protection inside the knee.

Least I have an issue with some of your braces. With the hinges so high up they come up past all of the leather panels tearing up any pant. It sucks you guys need to make a pant that mirrors your braces and covers them.

Hello! We are sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the knee braces and the pants. Would you be able to provide us with some photos to info@leatt.com, so that we can further review. Thank you!

Next time we ride I will get some pictures. The issue stems from a 14 year old with tree trunk legs. He is also short so he wears a big knee brace to fit diameter. It ends up making that upper hinge on the X braces higher than all the leather patches on all pants. Everyone wears out pants above the patches it seems like. I haven't figured out why nobody makes the leather go higher up. Maybe it's a short guy issue.

Asterisk makes little neoprene sleeves that wrap around the inner hinges. They fit most brands and work good. Last time I bought a pair was like 15 bucks. Was 10 years ago and still use the same ones! No issues.

I got these little sleeves from the first gen Asterisk and they are made from a different material. I put some leather on them and my pants are happy.

Pro tip, buy until middle of the road gear, not high end. Usually lasts longer
