Adding 50-100cc to reduce clutch whine or whatever is one thing. Overfilling the manual spec by 40% is ridiculous.
Step away from the bike please.
And 16 hard hours on the stock clutches I must be playing with fire 😆🤞🏼

"Check the engine oil level with the motorcycle vertical through the oil level inspection window on the lower right side of the engine. The oil level should come up between the high and low level lines next to the inspection window".
Word for word. So yes, exactly, go by the manual.
I've also done this on pretty much every single bike I've ever had since 1992. I agree, measure first, then go by the sight glass. If it's between low and high after adding the measured oil your gold. I also mentioned I only eyed the cc level and I probably only added between 100-200ccs of oil. It went from not being in the sight glass to being correct.
If the sight glass is 100% full you aren't going by the manual. If the sight glass is empty, you aren't going by the manual.
Manual also states you need to replace its muffler damper every 3 races! Probably need to do that soon lol
Ha my other bike doesn't have a glass I do 1300 (manual states 1250) on a 05 rmz450. Never had an issue.
I thought I was making an interesting comment as to why I thought my oil level wasn't to my expectations after the first oil change. I believe I would have been fine. The whole ordeal was I put in 1000cc and it was a the low line in the sight glass. Thought it was odd so I added another 100-200 to make it fuller in the sight glass. You're right, go by the manual and not be so OCD like myself. It's my baby and I don't want anything to go wrong because I was slightly low on oil. It's my first brand new bike so you bet I'm going to be insane. It's like a first born over here. Next time I'll measure it out exact and let it sit overnight to see where it ends up.
An extra 250 sounds like a lot and not filling the oil filter sounds like a bad idea.
