What 2 laps in and the 250 class loses 3 title favorites both Martin brothers and Jordan smith.

I am gutted for them all.

I also stand by my suggestion that staggered starts would improve the racing and improve the safety aspect, as it wouldn’t be 22 riders literally side by side into the first turn and first rhythm section leading to the absolute chaos we’ve seen too many times.

The tracks are too tight and risky for 22 riders all bunched up.

Yes and no. This isn’t moto gp. The thrill of moto is and always has been the adrenaline rush of doing something badass with consequences. Jeremy was landed on by a ignorant rookie. That same thing could have occurred with your theory.

Landed on by an ignorant rookie, really, it seamed to me they were all racing and commited to jumping that section Jeremy lost momentum that the rookie still had, this unfortunatly was all Martin's fault.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but that’s what happens in the 250 class, you get excited, unpredictable and sometimes reckless rookies, he chose to take a dive and stay in that class and race against rookies. If he’d have moved to the 450 class like he was supposed to do then that probably wouldn’t have happened. Also, he’s not blameless, he checked up on the face of the double, always putting yourself at risk doing that

Adrenaline was flowing, hearts racing and everyone excited about the first race so a split second and it happened.. I think it was just one of those things that no one can be blamed for. I bet he feels terrible as well and probably caught loads of crap on social media for it as well.. the comments on some YouTube videos were quite harsh toward “the rookie” Stilez too. He was expecting Martin to do the double and by the time he realised Jeremy wasn’t jumping it he’s already in the air.

Jeremy was mostly to blame. Sure he is risk averse but a veteran rolling through in front of a snarling pack full of hyped rookies?
