Speaking on hurt feelings, he just burned some people who stepped up to help him out when he was left with "nothing"... acts like a factory star then bails to take another ride a week before round 1. I wish him the best of luck, but feel bad for some people who had a lot of money sunk into his program.

I don’t think he is. I thought he was going to be doing that same deal as his brother but as of now he is riding a gas gas with aeo support. Kinda strange to jump ship like that. Especially this late. Can’t image this ride with aeo is light years better than what he had but who knows.
Damn...that seems F'D up. It seems very odd any racer would jump ship like that to a new bike so close to round 1. Especially with it not being a factory ride. I have been watching the Invictus Speed IG account for the last month and a half and they never announced he was racing for them so, I figured he had to find a new ride.

That happens ALL the time. Not a big deal. If you can get a better bike or go from no pay to getting paid then you absolutely should.

Invictus Speed Crew was sponsoring Ty along with Jake and that was the plan up until just recently. We had sent the team product late last year. Both Ty and Jake have been practicing for SX out in Texas on team bikes.

Aparrenty the team manager of Invictus learned of Ty jumping ship to AEO the same was I did - from Ty's Instagram story. He wasn't aware that Ty was looking elsewhere. Ty just left with no notice, which really put Invictus in a bind. A lot of people put in product and money to support Ty and Jake, and Ty just bailed with no warning to anyone. So yeah, that's pretty messed up.

We sent the team triple clamps and spares for the season, all customized with rider names and numbers. Ty used most of the parts, plus they have his name and number on them, so they're not much use to us now. And we got nothing out of it! A lot of other people and sponsors stepped up to support him as well, so they're all feeling burned too. Thankfully Jake is more mature than his brother, and he's still on board Invictus for West Coast SX.

Ty is young and bound to make mistakes, but he'll learn that burning bridges like this won't get him far. I'd be much more understanding if a factory team picked him up, or even if he made Invictus aware he was looking for another ride so they could inform the sponsors of the situation and plan for it. But he didn't. I don't wish the kid ill will or anything, but we won't be supporting him again until he shows some real maturity.

I don't know what arrangement he had with Invictus or what arrangement he has now, so I can't say. But it doesn't really matter, what matters is how he went about it.

Exactly. Is it a huge deal business wise? No, but we put aside a lot of customer work during an insanely busy time here to make it happen. Is it unheard of in the industry? Definitely not, but you see a select few riders constantly searching for rides and bouncing around and it's for reasons like this. Hopefully he learns from it, and I echo Luxon as I wish no bad luck towards him, just a let down for those involved. I have stuff sitting here that was set to ship the day the first IG story was posted. I feel for Juan who put a ton of effort into it. I am still excited for Jake and hope that he gives those guys some results for their hard work. Invictus guys are good people.

I can't wait to watch him hurt some feelings. I have a strong feeling he is going to be smoking Frye and Thrasher and making Star miss him. Still don't get why they dropped him.
Last night’s results indicate that perhaps Bobby and the boys over at Star do know what they’re doing after all.

Even if it was, you do so properly by speaking with your current team that put a ton of money and effort into supporting you and explaining the situation.

Everyone needs to make a living, and everyone understands that.....it’s how you go about it that makes you who you are as a person.
