To keep people from crashing into the starting line metal box.

I’m sitting right above it. There are six inches of foam around a metal structure. No big pads.

Dunno if you can blame Jett's crash on 'over eagerness' more on shitty tuff block placement/questionable track design.. Look how many people are landing exactly where it was

Where the tuff block was placed wasn’t very ideal if it’s intent was to stop people from hitting the start structure. Jett wasn’t going to hit the start structure but he did hit the tuff block.

There’s another 10ft or more before you even get to the starting grate. Smoking crack.

That was a treat getting to watch Shimoda come through the pack. No nonsense, not much flash, just business as usual. Kid is good.

I think it’s a peacock issue. Some sort of limitation. Someone said before the video comes on for commercials on peacock and not the shows themselves, like they do it Intentionally haha

Crazy that Nichols and Mosiman are 33 seconds ahead of third place in a short heat race.

I agree, if they're worried about the start structure put the tuff block on the structure

No way you actually think that tough block is there to protect from hitting the start, right? If anything it being there makes it more likely you’ll hit the start

What I thought too. With his KO last year, I’m concerned he’s following down the Stewart path.
I think Hepler path would be more accurate. James dominated the lites class and won big bike championships including a perfect season...

Edit: forgot to call you a pendejo

It was bad placement for a tuff block but the track was the same for all and basically everyone else made it through fine. It if was anyone other than Jett no one would say anything.

Ever rider has an obligation to stay on the track if they want to win a title. That was his second big get off of the day. He’ll come back far more mature and ready to dominate next year.
