The fastest man in the woops (CC) yet he decides to not want to race Jett through them. Decision making for the vet is questionable & now he knows he will be 3rd in this championship fight

This could be an iconic poster for Dunlop with Jett sitting at the side of it !

By the way Jett sure must work that back brake hard, look how worn his right boot is

I was very impressed with the way Jettson pulled himself together and gave an awesome podium interview after how crushed he was. Not to mention what an amazing ride he put in to get up to 3rd

In all honesty, I think the pressure is getting to Craig. He’s never really been in title contention. He has the skills and speed. He’s just dealing with pressure he’s never dealt with and he doesn’t know how to deal with it.
Remember the pressure he put on himself when he hired DV in 2017 and had title expectations on the 250 East? He folded up. Plus, soft and rutty tracks seem to be a limiter for him. I don't think he wins this title.

So after winning a state title as a novice you decided to see if you could remain a novice and win another one. Should have moved up on your own after a title as a novice. I'd rather get last place in the expert class than continue winning titles as a novice. BTW, at 50+yrs. old there should be no such thing as a novice.

I am 100% convinced now. You're right. Jet has it.

This is the emotional voodoo that fuels every single champion.

Jesus..... what a bunch in no racers in this thread. It was the second to last corner in a hotly contested points race. Christian simply went to run him wide (not dirty) Jett was trying to pass and left it on a little late (not dirty) they locked bars (not dirty) Christian was on the brakes hard with his throttle and front brake tangled with Jett.

Nothing about it was dirty or stupid. Jett said their bikes became tangled without a mention of Craig. End of story.

Jett was faster, Christian was holding on. Great racing. Shit Happens.

Had Jett simply passed on the outside the Monday morning quarterback keyboard warriors would be saying Craig doesn’t have fight in him or is “soft”.

Dirty, not really.

Would every rider try the same, probably.

But it was still stupid, especially in hindsight. Sure it would have sucked to get beaten by Jett; and finish 3rd, but the end result was an extra two positions lost, and more points lost to Nichols, who at the moment looks to be the rider to beat for this title.

How is the pressure getting to him? He rode a solid second place all main event. Yes, Jett's speed was on a different level.

It's just funny to see how quick people are to be pumped for him and than completely bash him the next weekend.

Exactly. I wonder how many people would have checked up and let Lawrence pass them on the outside two corners before the finish..
No one is complaining that he tried to protect his position. It's that he couldn't do it without running into tuff blocks and taking himself down.

I'm sure he wasn't thinking of going into the tuff blocks himself, but he was prob shocked at the audacity of the youngin trying to go around the outside of him with two corners to go haha

It's prob the last time Jett tries that move..

People really be throwing shade at a kid for showing emotions after a roller coaster of a race.
Nothing wrong with having passion and so much emotion at what they do.

Passion is what separates racers and champions.

Doesn’t change the fact that Jett is a crybaby. He got one race of adversity and cries about it. Literally crying about it. Get used to it kid. Just like last year. Craig did what he did, why does he have to cry and make a big deal about it? Just curious.

Desperate? I think Jett made the bad move. Outside on a 90 degree corner? Craig had the line and he can go wherever he wants. Their bars got tangle. Racing incident. Jett put himself in a stupid spot. How many times have you passed someone on the outside on a 90?

I think the pass was meant to be completed in the whoops. Luckily he still took points from CC when it was over with

he was going wide to make a run through the whoops.
jett was going wide, CC drifted wider and pushed him off the track.

What rider would not make that move CC did ,yes he made a balls of it . But the idea was still right . People suggesting he should just let Jet ride around the outside of him are crazy. Its a complete split second decision. If he makes contact stay s up and knock s Jett off the track its the perfect way to do it and stay second. Problem is he went 1/2 mph to fast in .

No one is suggesting that. They're commenting that he completely cocked up something that a rider who turned pro 12 years ago shouldn't be cocking up.

I feel that this move by CC was one of the worst things he could have done for himself. Look, I understand that his future in racing is very much a question mark if he does not perform this year and thus he has a lot of added pressure to perform and with his experience he should have no problem obtaining that performance if he puts in the work.
What I do see is a rider still not in the shape he needs to be in to be at full race pace for the full race. I have always liked CC, but this move was not good for him or for his future in the sport.

Unless Colt and Jett take themselves out of the series, pretty sure Steve’s hair is safe this year
