If you had unlimited funds. (There are people out there with this option)

What would it take to buy the Supercross Series?

How much would this cost?

There is always an amount of money to change something. What would it take?

30-35 million??
I think that's about right, but it's hard to value.

When it was last sold, SX was sold with Monster Truck, this is important because many expenses are spread among the two events.

They rent the place to a few weeks and bring the dirt in and out once. Anaheim would have like SX/Truck/SX/Truck and then they'd replace all the grass at Anaheim.

One without the other makes them hard to valuate.

Also keep in mind, with SX they run the show, with Monster Truck they REALLY run the show, they own all of it top to bottom. They own the trucks and every thing. Everyone you see, even the drivers, work for Feld, not any team

Individually, the real money is the Truck thing. They crush people into those events and they buy all the junk.

Tim, it's a tough call. Depends on if assets come with it, all the trucks, rigging, etc...The core team, making it all turnkey

They're just south of Tampa, Tim, stop on by and have a chat....LOL

Supercross futures is a 125 class. The triple is not an option.

I wonder what the valuation of the Supercross series would be?

Most commonly, the sale price can be a combination of tangible assets, debts, and net income for 1 to 2 years.

But ultimately, a business value is really determined on how badly the owner wants to rid himself of the asset, and how many buyers are competing to buy it.

If someone wanted to buy Supercross just by itself without Monster Jam, they would have to get DEEP into Feld's books, and see if they are debiting the costs of their other division expenses to Supercross, which has been whispered for a while now.

another issue could be is that Feld spends a lot of time negotiating contracts with 14 or so different stadium authorities every year, so if those folks see a new owner coming in they might try to increase the stadium rent over what Feld was paying.

IF someone bought the series, they would probably have to buy the monster truck series also because they share infrastructure.

but what do I know...

Assuming you could buy the Supercross series it with out Monster Jam (Arlington does not always host the dirt events back to back, as well as some other venues). Certainly Covid19 will have an impact on its current value, and the state of their TV deal kind of up in the air, could mean a big valuation range. I would guess around $100 million.
