I'd be stoked to see Nacho win - Brabec is in a great spot to help. That kid is awesome! Looking like a 3-way dogfight between Cornejo, Price, and Sunderland.

And yes, Price is a freak. He proved his mettle when he won with a destroyed scaphoid...what a beast...

He is ok, and he indeed loves his HVA, much better than the factory Yamaha according to him.

Good to know. I always cheer for Xavier, coolest name in the sport and I love his all white look. My 7 year old daughter got in to Dakar with me this year and she picked him as her favorite all on her own!

Hopefully he can come back stronger next year, he was playing his cards right to be in contention at the end of this thing.

I read that part of his deal with Husky/KTM was that he had to help any of the Factory riders do mechanic work as necessary on the marathon stage, he must be good on the ol’ wrenches eh?

Not sure he's that good, but he's been an enduro privateer rider all his life but his Yamaha days so he can do it. And he has a cool name because he really is a Viscount from a very old French family, which includes his cousins Xavier and Victor De Le Rue, some famous snowboarders.

Shorty said on the Cycle News Podcast that ASO was OK with letting him back in the race and the FIM Race Clerk is the one who said No.

Obviously there is a lot to consider and it isn't an easy decision for anyone, pretty interesting to hear that though.

I actually think if it wasn't for the 6 tire rule he woulda had a better chance. To let him back in the race they basically would have had to not count any time for the day after that gas stop. So everyone else woulda put a couple hundred extra Kilometers on their tires for no reason.

Once again, FIM is the villain. Is ASO going to reimburse Yamaha for the hundreds of thousanands of dollars they spent to go racing with Andrew Short? Didn't think so lol.

It looks like they lost 15 mins so they will get that back and sunderland will be 2nd overall and brabec 3th.
