EDIT: Matrix reached out and is standing behind their products, giving them another shot.

Anyone this happen to theirs? Or have a line on replacement fittings for these POS Matrix jugs? Non-standard fitting and thread sizes pissing me off.

It has happened to me with that jug and other brands. They are usually beat up, tossed and crammed in where they can. The sun kills them all.

Hardware store and a couple bucks your back to fueling your hog

That’s the issue: the Matrix fittings and threads are non-standard. Literally every other jug and spare parts made do NOT fit them. Beyond annoying, but now I know and will get a VP jug next. Not the first Matrix product failure but certainly will be the last.

A new hose and cap for Matrix can is $15. Go in to your local shop and have them order you one. Part #721487

I’ve been using the same Pit Posse jug for a decade. Maybe try looking at one of those.

From experience, I have 2 Matrix jugs, they are great, but I did beak hose as per your photo.
Guess how I did It always grabbing it by the hose, all my fault.
Cheap to buy replacement parts.

Had the same thing happen. Mine never took any abuse, was disappointed when it happened.

Since have bought 2 of the Risk Racing cans with the floor mount holders. Really like that design, and the jug has been good for a couple years as well so far!

Never again will I buy this plastic junk. They always refused to replace the crap for free so I made my own jug. Holds 20 Litres It will probably soldier on with my grandchildren...

That's awesome, but I bet that thing is a beast to carry full.

I have a VP jug that I’ve had for 25 years. Any time something breaks or wears out, I can fix it with a quick trip to Home Depot.

Had a same but different issue. My top cap cracked along the top ridge. It was so clean that it looked like it was glued together and just came apart. Don't use it anymore. They want you to buy the billet aluminum cap and spout. At $120. Ahhh, No.

My Matrix jug is probably 5 years old and no problems, I would call Matrix their customer service is Excellent. I had some troubles with a stand and they stood behind it 100%.

I had one of these start leaking at the seams within months.

Seems like it's just a complete crap shoot these days with the plastic jugs.

I have a VP jug which is at least 15 years old. I've had to replace the hose once because it got brittle and leaky. Not a bad investment, so far.

Add me to the list of VP jug owners. Bought mine in the mid 90s.

@ktmwoods we can replace that nozzle part no charge. Product is plastic and over time with gas and and using it as a handle can effect the part. Nevertheless we all ride and continue to improve the product and agree should be bullet proof!

email: info@group6usa.com with photo and your address and we will handle it for you.

This is why I have been using Matrix Concepts for as long as I have. I have stacks of stands and mats, as I like new ones every year and they don't break so I just keep them in the corner and give away or use for projects all the time.

Customer service is second to none, and that goes a long way in this industry.
