Thanks.

Turns out we could file internet fraud too.

I've said it many times before. Terry needs to make it right. He's been paid.

This is one of the big lessons here. Never, ever pay the full amount in advance. And when you do pay, use a credit card. If the business won't adhere to these typical practices, give a second thought to going elsewhere.

To those who have lost motors/$$ to this operation, I wish you the best in getting some resolution.

This thread is the beginning of the end for a legendary engine tuner. It's sad that he has dropped the ball but has no one to blame but himself.

The internet is a powerful platform.

You've spent time with Terry years ago. Do you think the Loss has caused his diminished way of doing business.

Crazy to me people still send things to these old 1 man shows. Varner, Watts, Gorr, HP performance all these guys have had serious communication problems and delays at some point or another.

Find a local guy, cause 2 strokes especially aren’t magic and just about any half decent tuner can get the same results. Or if you are set on sending it out, just get companies like MaxRPM’s, PC, Racetech... etc. Reputable companies that aren’t about to retire so they don’t care about reputation

Thanks. One of the positive comments.

I'll repeat things. I have a good local builder. He doesn't do performance mods. Just build solid motors.

This was my first time using someone like Terry. I'd called others that told me they were backed up or really didn't do vintage motors.

As for using other builders. I was gun shy building the YZ 100 and sending my cylinder somewhere. In the end I sent it to Hammerhead Mods. We'd had a long chat about the situation. In the end I had a nine day turn around, door to door!

I lost my son last year (July 2019) and if this is his excuse, he is a pathetic POS. I personally feel that my boy would be looking down on me and saying "dad why are you fucking over the very people we have come to love". I would think my son would be disappointed in me so using that as an excuse seems foreign to me.

I work in the medical field and deal with psych patients a lot and I know loss affects people differently but do not f*ck over people that will always have your back!!

Sorry for your loss. I would have a very hard time if I lost my son at his age. I wouldn't carry it over into my work place. I hope Terry turns a leaf or gets some help to get these projects finished. You'd think he'd be getting very little love at the local tracks with people knowing how much he's just shit on people.

To the guys here waiting for your stuff. I have family in California willing to pick up your cylinders/engines. I spoke to them and they’re willing to help.
If you can provide a receipt or an email confirmation, along with a letter stating you want your stuff released to (insert my cousin /uncles name here), they’ll pick it up. The only thing they want is zero accountability if your motors have been stripped and the parts used elsewhere. You cover the shipping costs. They’ll go to Fed Ex and get a price for shipping. My cousin has Venmo.

My family in Murrieta wasn’t able to help due to work. However, my family in Carson can. It’s a 95 mile drive one way. I don’t know any of you but, I do not want anything other then seeing you guys get your stuff back. In regards to my family, please, if they do get you your stuff, kick them some gas money. It’s only fair to them for their time.

I don’t want to go back through all 20 pages of this thread to figure out who hasn’t gotten what. It would be nice for you guys to talk amongst yourselves, itemize and, consolidate everything into one trip. Hopefully, this could be the end of this ordeal.

PM me and Happy Holidays.

How many people are still waiting? I know you got your stuff after what, 11 months? I’m aware there are others, I just need a count.

I really hate to read about anyone having issues with Terry. He built us a nasty fast YZ 125. A local pro was riding the same setup and it was pulling Villipoto’s PC bike on the uphills. He built a KTM for my friend this spring and he just built an RM 250 for Keefer. I called him about this thread and he said the motors were going out? I’m not sure what is going on?

What’s going on is, the guy isn’t telling the truth to anyone. He’s a ******* liar, and I’ve got no dog in this race, I don’t know any of the parties involved, I just know what I’ve read in the thread and it’s beyond my comprehension that a guy that has been in business this long would do this to fellow enthusiasts. Unreal.

This is a joke right??? Terry has lost any and all credibility. I see him out at the track almost every weekend and the dude is just having a good old time. It’s crazy the people that have been ripped off haven’t approached him in person.

Sounds like he jerks around the out of towers and takes care of the local bros or people that can give him publicity

There is a reason Emig, Alessi and others still use Varner.
