Might be a little bit busier than just a moto track, though......

Dang, I figured someone might like the idea of getting a decent salary and benefits like this! Probably a decent retirement package, too!

Yep, you couldn’t pay me enough to move there.
That city represents everything wrong in society right now.

Any of you talking shit on Portland need to turn off the TV every once in a while. It's an amazing city, and the bullshit is confined to very specific areas. Was just downtown, and nothing was out of order anywhere I went.

Also, PIR is about as close to downtown Portland as it is to Vancouver, WA. You could pretty much just commute across the river and avoid the city, if you were so inclined. Your 15-minute commute would have better views than anything you could see in Ohio or Illinois.

From someone who visits that area frequently. I can confidently say Portland sucks with or without riots and looting.

Not sure what area of Portland you visit frequently, but it sounds like different areas than I do.

Portland is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Other than the small areas that were affected by the protests that turned into riots, the vast majority of the city and surrounding areas were not impacted in any way.

Obviously the shutdown is affecting the downtown area right now, but next time you are there and business is back to normal, I’d suggest spending a Saturday morning on 23rd in the Alphabet District. Breakfast at Kornblatt’s Deli, then just making your way up and down the street. It’s a great atmosphere for a city.

But I guess for some people, Portland just has too many parks, trees, riverfront, recreational opportunities, etc.

Not everyone enjoys those things, obviously!
