Ever thought about a posting power addition to the message board?

The more thumbs up a post gets the better posting power/ranking a member has and it is displayed under their name on the board under their number of posts.

I feel as though giving posters posting power will show a whole new element of credibility amongst their profile. It will show on a general consensus, Vital as a whole feels as though this member contributes quality posts to the community, and it is kind of cool IMO.

Essentially another element of credibility amongst Vitalmx besides simply number of posts. While you have a high post count and quality posts, sometimes high post count doesn't correlate to quality with other members, just seniority.

On a personal level it doesn't mean shit to me.

But if we are engaging in a internet social platform (VitalMX) that is what social media is called at the end of the day which you just described via instagram, twitter, etc. I think you can agree that the clout does draw a lot of engagement and at the end of the day Vital could possibly draw more engagement or new users with this feature.

No, its just a dick-swinging contest. Forums have used this feature for decades and people hang their reputation on their scores. It's really pathetic in a lot of ways considering we're (mostly) anonymous adult men posting on a bulletin board

I will agree with you that VitalMX is a FORM of social media but it is fundamentally different in nature from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook etc so trying to draw conclusions about Vital based on those platforms just makes you look silly

What I would suggest if i may would be a seller buyer score for the bazaar. Every now and then we get people screwing people. So this would help improve buyer awareness/ confidence. Especially when it come to some guys that are selling big money parts or factory/works parts. Even something as simple as a 1-5 star rating. That might be A idea worth kicking around a lil.
