RC and Stew-2007 Red Bud. Have two guys ever gone faster on a 450?

I was glad to be there to witness it in person.

But IMO, nobody has ever gone faster than Tomac the first 5 motos of 2015.

You never saw Villopoto go through the catchers mitt corner at Washougal WFO on a 250f. I believe RacerX speed gun clocked him at like 31mph...it’s not even a fast corner!

Man, this TV production is just so much higher in value than the current national series stuff.

Just check out the start sequence (9:30): Gate drop. Then a great helicopter shot of the long straight cuts to an onboard directly behind the two battling leaders. Dirt is flying in your face and camera feed is losing composure from the impact (Leigh Diffey, cleverly: "What a blinding start!"). Next: a corner cut, then a low camera behind the first big jump. Then when moving to the wider shots, they frame Ricky, but are far enough out that you can really sense the fury of his charge.

I mean, by contrast, they missed an entire moto start this year for an interview segment.

06 Washougal Stew and RC. Best race I've even watched.

Pretty much every RC v Stew battle was the best battle ever. Every second those two were near each other on the track was moto magic.

I was at Red Bud that year. The whole crowd was just electric that day as it was great racing all day long.

I can still vividly remember JS7 tipping over in that corner and collectively the crowd realizing the battle between JS & RC was over. That was the hardest I have ever seen in person two guys battle for a Moto win.

The beauty, the amazing part of the 07 outdoor season was the fact that RC had no skin in the game except pure fucking pride to not let crazy ass fast as balls Stewart beat him before he set off into the sunset. Didn't need the money, didn't need another championship, but still trained his ass off and threw down like it was the only thing that mattered in his life. I think this is the most impressive piece of motocross history honestly. RC=GOAT.
