The plastic is completely different and if I didn't know any better I'd say the gas tank is different too because when I had plastic off today so my graphics guy template the stuff the tank looks different than the KTM or the Husky.

No newly released bike in the last 15 years has aesthetically got me excited up until now. I'm totally hard for this new gas gas.

But you are making a great point about the jobs at GasGas and this is something I would really like to know if anybody has some insight. What is the plan going forward with the production facilities in Girona, Spain. Will they continue to build the trials bikes there? I believe the reason they were sold in the first place was because they were struggling to make ends meet. If they were about to go down and now they can keep that facility running then they did get saved. I cannot find any information about this, maybe it's still unclear anyways.
The factory in Spain remains open and will produce the trails bikes. The tooling and design for the old GG enduro line was sold to Reiju in Spain. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that some other production could end up in Spain as well. KTM needs more production capability.

I got a GasGas 450 on Monday and it's actually pretty cool looking. Totally redesigned plastic with the fork guards being the only shared piece. The engine cases are raw and not painted which I love. The bike actually looks better in person than it does in pics which is generally not the case. I've been building it since Tuesday and that is without a doubt my favorite part... :-)

Where you able to ride the bike? Is the stock suspension the same as on 21 ktms...the one with the new midvalve and by-hand adjustable rebound on the forks?

That’s good to hear. I hate my 2020 KTM plastics. I’m at 25 hours and already wearing through the shrouds. 100 hours on my 2018 husky and I had no trouble. I’ll be going back to husky after this, they’re just a better bike for me. Hopefully the Gasgas is too.

Thanks for the info. KTM just keeps growing every year, they must at some point need some additional production lines . At least I would assume that to be the case looking from the outside. Who knows, would be cool for the staff in Girona if KTM takes them along.

I love the looks of them. Probably cooler-looking plastic than the KTMs and Huskys.

KTM is now going to take on a huge challenge, making trials a thing in the US.

Looking at the parts list i see that suspension valving is the same as europran sxf models...so quite different compared to the us setup. Will see how the media guys like it...

KTM has said for several years they wanted to get into the trails business. They also currently do not have plans for orange or white trials bikes. Getting GG got them in the trials business with a brand with trials cred. I think that both Husqvarna and GG were all but given to them and they saw the business potential in both brands. KTM's next US venture is e-bicycles. Had GG not come along it probably would have happened this year. Now the plans are for 2021 introduction. Husqvarna Bicycles

The graphics are a work in progress but they'll do for now. Going to ride it tomorrow for the first time. I'm definitely a little curious.

I rode it for roughly 2hrs today and overall its what expected. Its a great bike thats easy to go fast on and has very few weaknesses. I rode a 21 Honda today and my bike feels way more balanced and way less busy at speed. The Honda felt really nose low and too jacked up in the rear. I almost felt like I was going to fall over the front of the bike when standing and leaning forward while coming into a turn. The forks were super stiff too. It had a great motor and I didnt feel any of the mapping issues at all. Overall its a decent bike with flaws that I'd need to addres before I'd ever be comfortable racing it. The GasGas is definitely easier to ride and has a more predicable and planted feel on the track. I took this pic before leaving this morning. It looks better outside and is definitely growing on me.

Man.. your build always sway me.. I'm just curious how stock to stock would've felt against the Honda.

If I could buy cone valves and set it up like yours, I'd be more apt to pull the trigger on the gg..

Bike looks great, nice work!

I was looking up the contingency and a Gas-Gas dealer today in Southern California but could not find squat within two hours in any direction from where we live. Looks like We will be going with the new Honda CRF450R for 2021!

Growing on you?!?!?! Shoot, this is the best looking bike I've seen in a long time! I absolutely love it. My buddies and I were just talking about the Gas Gas and how while stock it looks very "mehhhh", it can look phenomenal with some graphics, black wheels, and a few bolt on parts. Kudos sir, I think it's a gorgeous bike.

Speaking of the graphics... do you mind sharing who did yours? I think they look great.

So ya got the A-Team which is KTM - Marvin and lil Deuce Coupe... then the Husky B-Team which is El Hombre and Capt Eyebrows the new 450 champ.... then you have the Gas Gas C-Team which is Bam Bam and probably somebody else... and when all three teams are combined, are nearly as good as the Kawi team of ET and AC... nice!
