To be fair. An accident could happen anywhere anytime. In a car going to the market or at the MTB trail.

When i first heard about this i thought he was crazy to consider returning to racing. But why not if he feels like he still can perform at the highest level?

Sure he won the SX title by being consistent but he was getting pumped outdoors by that point, it’s interesting he wants to come back but I wish him all the best !

How was he getting pumped in the outdoors at that point when he missed most of 2016, and won the 2015 title by winning 8 of 17 rounds?

Also, he retired by winning the the sx title so in what way is that not winning?
he wasn't getting pumped... he was getting SUPER PUMPED!

I've listened to some podcasts today and there's a lot of people doubting on him. Look at how good Reed was in his early thirties. And that was on the back of some bad injuries. Dungey could seriously extend his legacy and win championships if he does come back. I've said before I was never a huge fan of his in the past but I seriously hope he can line something up and is on the start gate next year.

If he’s got the itch to ride/race he should just race the nationals. On a part time schedule he could prob race till he’s 34-35. Skip supercross. It’s for the kids. Although if he’s doing it for money obviously he will have to ride sx. But if it’s just an itch to race again, just race the nationals. I really miss his corner speed and determination on the outdoor tracks! Dude was a machine.

I would imagine that it would be much more difficult to get funding for a MX only deal. And also a bit more expensive.

I’d like to see him pack the Honda up in a van and go full privateer, out doors only.

I agree. I would just hate to see him wad himself up in supercross.

No one will talk this early. Anyone that knows any real details are part of the discussion and friends of those people that aren't supposed to know. If Ryan talks to you about it because you're buddies and you tell Cooksey, you and Ryan aren't buddies anymore after Chris blabs about it on Vital.

10 million for ONLY a lower middle class life style? Multiple houses is upper middle class??

I don’t think you at all understand what middle class means then.

"Getting pumped outdoors" = winning consecutive outdoor titles, then getting hurt while a close second in the points going after the third in a row.
Might want to check the history books there, Bud. Dungey never won consecutive outdoor titles. In fact, Since RC going 7 in a row, Tomac is the only person to win consecutive titles.

He did win two outdoor titles back to back, the 250 in 2009 and the 450 in 2010.

😂😂😂😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️Are you his financial manager? You don’t know how much money he has and how much he is making. He could be easily making millions a year off of investments.

This article is from spring 2012.

I bet he has indeed a lot more than that with the 4 or 5 premier titles he won afterwards (plus so many podiums). He probably had $20M+ when he retired. Invested safely and with no leverage, he is probably getting 5 to 8%. It is quite possible to live with 100k per month Wink , so he is not coming back for money, just for racing !

Soooo if this is true and he's looking for a ride, wouldn't there be 100's of pics of him practicing ?? Showing everyone he's still got it ?? Calling BS, team ownership maybe, rider, no.

If he does comeback, and let's say someone does take #5 I wonder what number he would run. But in all reality I couldn't see him comeback and not use 5.

It doesn't matter. He ain't coming back because no one will pay him. He's short of funds, entitled and hard to work with. If he had a set he'd privateer 🤔.

I read in your profile that "he has let you down and many people". What did he do that would explain this grumpiness?

"Entitled and hard to work with"... EXACTLY the words anyone who has ever worked with Ryan would NEVER use to describe him.

Whatever happened to facts & the truth?
