I worked at a car detailer in the 80s. Some 18 yo kid comes in with 2 yo 930 turbo porsch he just bought from a lady who’s ex told her to sell it and split the $$. She sold it for $500. It happens.

Tell her to meet you at your local police/ sheriff station. It’s the best place to meet someone who is selling you something.

Complete scam. I guarantee this same bike is posted around the country with a few minor changes to the story. I had this happen on Craigslist with a John Deere excavator. One was posted for a pretty cheap price with legit pics and a sob story about a dead husband. I worked in another state a few weeks later and saw nearly the same ad in their local Craigslist. I don’t know how the scam actually gets them money. Maybe they just use your phone number to sell to telemarketers. Maybe some idiot sends them a PayPal deposit. 100% there is no bike.

Never email a CList ad - they will steal your email address and create a living hell for you.

Shipping company + payment release + using make, model, and year every time the bike is referenced = No thanks. More fine upstanding citizens.
