I watched the video review on the home page which suggested going down a size from your regular Sidis. I decided to give it a shot since I feel the boots have been steadily creeping up in size ever since the original crossfire.

Long story short - don't do it, went from a 44 to 43 and the ankles are just too tight for me.

If anyone is interested in a pair of black / red atojos with 2 rides on them PM me...
I think everyone but the Michael replacement just stated the toe box was bigger. Thanks for confirming to not upsize!

I wear exactly the same size as the prior model. Fit the same to me.

I was just watching a youtube video of a recent race and look what I found. Billy Bolt on the starting line in what appear to be the new ATOJO but with a TA sole! I bet these are coming next!

Some of the factory guys have special soles not offered to the public.
Jarvis has a special sole that has amazing grip. It really digs in, flexes and is soft. As far as I know he is sticking with the Crossfire 3’s.

Yes, we were with Jarvis in NY last year and he's been wearing the CF3's with the custom enduro sole for some time. I think it might even be the sole off the trials boot. I want to try the ATOJO but I've never been a fan of the SRS sole.

Must have been right after he stayed with me on the East Coast maybe?

I will be fucking pissed if they come out with a TA sole for them. That is 1 of my 2 biggest complaints i much prefer the TA version of sole. And the massive amount of sand that seems to get into these boots. Might sell them and get a set of Cross fire TA.

If you don't like the srs sole don't get the atojos. I'm the same I don't like the srs sole and i mostly regret not just getting a new set of crossfires because of it. I like the boot hate the sole and toe box change.

That's the info I was looking for. I just ordered another set of CF3 TA's, I would like to try the ATOJO's if they ever come with the TA sole. Enduro guys seem to like the traditional soles better. and my wide foot appreciates it. Still there is likely an advantage at the end of a long day with the new boot being 1lb lighter.

Yes, we've had him over in 2017 and 2019 to Hancock NY. As well as Tim Coleman.

Yeah i love the way the atojo fits and feels. But i like how the toe is smaller and the TA sole better. I like the metal toe piece im used to being able to catch a fast sift with it.

Just came back from my second ride in the Atojo's. I love them!
I have been using my son's Fox Instinct boots, and while they are a little bit more comfy than the Sidi's, the protection feeling is not nearly as good.

Last July I tore my achilles while in a pair of very well worn SG-10's. I wear extra wide boots, so was nervous about the width of Sidi boots. I wanted boots with positive stops against dorsiflexion, and the Atojo boots have a system for just that.

The footbed is very rigid, so I don't get the feeling of the boot's sole bending when flat landing a large jump. The boots are really narrow, and the sole gets a good purchase on my stock KTM footpegs. As a result, I feel very secure on the bike. There isn't much feeling on the shifter (and none on the brake pedal), but the toebox is low profile enough that it gets under the shifter without issue. The first day I accidentally hit neutral a few times, but today only once. After a couple more rides that will cease to be an issue. The buckle system is excellent, easy to clamp down, and easy to undo after a day of riding.

My only real beef is that the system used to prevent hyperextension and excessive dorsiflexion isn't nearly strong enough. It's there, it helps, but there's no way it stops a torn achilles when coming up short on a triple. It's not nearly strong enough to do that. That said, I have yet to see a boot that will prevent such an injury.

I have about 15 hours on my Atojo's now and I am ready to call them my favorite boot that I have owned. Sooooo much lighter than the SG12's. I don't feel like I'm trudging around when I walk. On the bike, now that the soles have softened up a bit, I'm feeling really comfortable. New boots never feel good to me, (I don't know how pro's wear new boots all the time). Support is good, grip is good, feel has gotten so much better! I'm loving them!

I'm in the same boat you were. From the pics the Crossfire 3s stop system looks more robust than the Atojos?

Only issue I have had so far is the leather (vinyl?) at the top front of the boot ripped. The CF3 is hard plastic there. I love the way they grip the bike compared to the CF3 though.

So I’m a religious Gaerne SG12 wearer, but was in the market for a pair of white boots and thought what the heck I’ll give em a try. I also ordered from Chromeburner after reading this thread and somehow had them from the Netherlands in three days? Not sure how that’s possible but no complaints on that one. Tried them on and they feel much like the SG12s in the ankle area. Little snug on the ankle but nothing horrible. I wear a 10 in Gaerne and the 10 in the Atojo fits just fine. They feel slightly lighter than my SG12s and are a bit more comfortable maybe to walk in. Sitting on the bike I noticed two things, the rubber on the inside of the Sidis is much “grippier” than the SG12 which I really like, and second I’m not sure about the lack of the metal toe piece. It may be a bit more difficult to shift as I think sometimes I cheat with up shifts using the toe piece. The height of the toe seems similar but on the stand up shifts seem weird. I like the fit and finish and don’t see why the lack of a fourth buckle would be an issue. I’ll get out in them this weekend and get some real seat time and post my thoughts.

Well I tried. I suffered with the atojos murdering my feet for two months. Last weekend I finally said uncle as they hurt so bad I didn’t want to ride anymore. I ordered tech 10s and got them today. Night and day better. The sidis just didn’t work for my foot shape evidently.

Mine were insanely tight at the ankle when I first got mine. I put three pairs of riding socks on and did the stationary bike while wearing them. After that they finally loosened up and have been great ever since.
