Think he still gets help from Motosport Hillsboro and a couple other companies. I know a CBD company seems to be stepping up for him. Was cool to see him back out there, I’m a forever fan.

Looked like he was really on it in both races, but never heard what happened to him late in moto 2 that caused him to drop.

What a awesome dude and I'm really happy for him. Got to hang out with him a bit one afternoon. My high pressure washer broke and he brought me his one to use.

We ended up having a few cold beers once the day was done.

Moto 1 finished ahead of factory riders Drake, Cooper, Shimoda, both Lawrence bros,

Was up there in Moto 2 as well before the bike gave out.

Yeah and imagine the equipment disparity. At the 450 level it’s more even, but at the 250 level, the gaps between factory and support teams compared to a privateer bike build is huge...

Was indeed very impressive!

For a guy who made an image about "riding for fun", he sure rides like a maniac when its not very fun! Tongue

Lets hope we see some more of him

He really looks like he's from the Other-Side-Sucks era. Go Steinke!

If Stanke had Drake's bike, would have been top 10 overall.

It was one mud race. Let's look at the full picture before acting like hes more deserving than others. Every one of those guys you listed have out performed Stenke significantly and their careers are much newer.

But this is Vital bro, one good ride makes you deserving of every factory bike more than the riders who already have them, you've been around here long enough to know that.

I never said he was more deserving of anything. Just said that he commendably outrode a bunch of factory guys in Moto 1. You're reading subtext that isn't there.

Exactly. It’s a good thing to celebrate privateer hero rides. They are the backbone of this sport, not the select few kids who make it on a factory bike.

Too bad he can't sell his own merch at the track to help out with expenses!

Did he shit the bed because he rode a four stroke and said it was because he wanted to have a chance?

No, I think that’s called honesty.

Watching Stanke at the Washougal 125 dream race was awe-inspiring. The bike never let off, neither did he. He's an animal and does it his way, which is admirable. He would school 99.9% of us on this forum on a 2-stroke, that's a fact.
