De Wolf and Edberg probably switched places 15 times already
Pit Row
Goes to show how good this class is, and incredibly fun to watch.
Shoutout to Isak Gifting and Tim Edberg. Isak and Tim might be the best Sweden has in store for the next decade and thank those guys for that. God knows Sweden has been useless the last 15 years. Alvin Östlund is doing alright in MX2 but he just isnt getting anywhere. He had his shot for a number of when he was at his best at Kemea Yamaha but he didnt produce. Now he´s forever stuck in support teams and while that isnt bad, Its cool he´s battling in the top 15 in the world, but I cant help to feel he peaked already.
Anyhow. Its so exciting to have racing again!
Nathan Renkens and Simon Längenfelder went straight ahead in the first corner at the start of MX2 race 1. Renkens hurt his right knee at the tumbler, so that he could not complete the motos. However, the Belgian was not the only one who shared in the damage.
French photojournalist Pascal Haudiquert was hit and had to go to the medical center for patchwork (a broken nose and painful upper body). However, he made his return to photograph the end of the first MX2 race. "My nose will carry my 540th GP with it for a while," Pascal joked. "But that hasn't stopped me from finishing my job!"
But i guess that is how it goes for smaller MX countries like us, it goes up and down. We might be in a different situation in 15 years.
We need to get back to the golden olden days when Sweden and Finland rules the GPs 😂
