Did i heard it correctly that Malin said they only gonna flat a few corners and a few faces off the jumps for tomorrow?

Otherwise the track will be pretty flat with only 2 classes and one practice a class. Today they got 3 classes practice twice and track was still smooth.

Well, unless they had a local support class that was not shown or spoken about, there were 2 classes out there today.

Smooth?

It didn't look it to me.

Tomorrow you've got the World Championship MXers out there for Practice, Qualifying (Laps), and then, their Motos.

Kegums is that strange mixture now, Sand with a Hard base just underneath in sections. Quite a mixture. So, you get nasty hard chop (often hidden by sand, or, looking like sand bumps) , and 'proper' soft stuff as well. It's far from smooth, within a just a few laps of practice, by blokes that can really pin the throttle.

To notice, Thibault Benistant grew-up (and still lives, when is not racing or training) in a village just next to the one of Dylan Ferrandis.

I’m here in Kegums and the track definitely was not smooth in the last moto. Cool to be back racing, but sadly I would not be surprised if this is last week of MXGP for this season. Anyways, super happy for our Yoko Team Pilot Thibault Benistant, he was shredding today and the last lap fight was awesome!

Probably, at this rate the world might as well stop coz this virus isn’t going anywhere.

It's safe to say that the whole world will be better prepared for the next wave. Most of us went through lockdown and none of us want that to happen again. Keep your distance! Please 😊

American here, I watched both EMX250 races today. I couldn’t help but compare it to Lorettas. Those EMX guys look much faster than any of our American amateurs. Am I crazy??

I didn't want to read through the thread and have some spoiler's pop up. I just started watching Saturday's races just a little bit ago........and god gawd , I can't believe how bad I missed watching the live racing. Watched most of Lorreta's here in the states , MXGP now , along with the US Nationals next weekend......I'm in heaven!! Just hearing Malin's voice and watching the races , I don't think I've stopped smiling since I pushed play. Just pure and awesome goodness!

MX2 Free / Time Practice live in about 15 minutes. MXGP follows directly after that.

I gotta say I really like the way they're covering it in pit lane.

Yes, it could end up being a great format. It came in with commentary from Paul Malin after about 10 minutes.

Up until then, it was just the track / pit noise, for those of us that know the riders etc, well, it was OK. But, I thought they were missing an opportunity to do what we see and hear with MotoGP and WSBK - practice / qualifying with the commentary. Malin has a big workload, but I thought Lisa could have stepped in - she's been around a long time, and knows the sport / riders. Perhaps she'll turn up soon to give 'Pitlane' interviews / colour? She ( and others) Should be safe with masks and distancing, at least if some drongos get their bloody masks up over their noses.......

I've said for years now I'd rather see timed Practice and Qualifying laps instead of the qualifying Motos. It would be great to see them go that way next year, with the Streamed Practice and Qualifying laps on the Saturday - much like many, years ago. But, I doubt they'll do it.

Malins such a good Commentator and Informer. Hopefully Lisa comes in a bit more, and , say, Adam Wheeler or 'others'. But, he's got his E Magazine duties. Plus, the commentary box might be a tiny little thing, not the 'Studio Show' set, I would think. So, Social Distancing might make that impossible.

It's so good to see the GPs back, Let's hope they can get through the Series.

I hope TKO is OK - as a distant Dane, I barrack for him, a bit. If I don't, I'll not get to stay with my Cousins when I get back to Europe - they'll disown me. Blush

Yep, and lucky it slowed down and didn’t throw him off at full speed.
8/9/2020 1:35am
MX2 qualifying results looks intresting, hopefully it will stay that unpredictable Woohoo as for MXGP, like I said earlier in the thread just because it’s sand it doesn’t mean an automatic victory for Herlings.
8/9/2020 1:46am
I was watching the catch up & the broadcast for MXGP was only 20 minutes long so it missed the last 15 minutes or so.

times are pretty close , top 20 within 4 sec a lap ...impressive
