What do you guys think of the 2021 Ford Bronco? Personally I think they hit a home run and I'm thinking of picking one up.

Word is they're not available until April 2021 which is a bummer. I think they announced the Bronco in 2017.. I don't know what's taking so long.

My understanding is the Bronco Sport will be in showrooms later this year, the bigger 2 and 4 doors not until Spring. They are already taking $100 deposits to get you in line, pricing is on their website to build as you please. I thought the roof top tent was really cool, along with the mtb rack in the cargo area. Perfect for a weekend getaway.....

Curious if the motor options. Would be awesome to get the coyote motor in it. And I suppose the ecoboost 3.5 wouldn’t be bad either Laughing

2.3l turbo four cyl or 2.7l turbo six cyl
7 speed manual or 10 speed auto

off-road package can be spec'd in every trim line (suspension, gears, lockers)

solid front axle would've been nice but overall i dig it.

It's still a Ford.

Wish the manual was available with the V6 and a solid front axle would be ideal, but it's so cool I'm gonna get one. Ford really did a great job with it.

I'm still on the fence with the 4 door, but I really like the look of the 2 door. They managed to retain the retro look, but gave it a modern touch.

My grandfather had one of these when I was a kid. That was the coolest vehicle in the world to me back then.

They’ll probably respond with the Jeep Wrangler SRT Demon Hellcat Rubicon with a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds which is completely relevant for off-roading. Laughing

I think they look great other than the front grill. I bought a Rubicon last Thanksgiving and really enjoy it. I got rid of my work truck and pull a 12’ enclosed trailer with it....I love it, gives me some false sense that I’m not actually going to work 😂

If these Broncos turn out to be reasonably priced I would have no hesitation to trade in the Jeep after the initial buying frenzy eases. I see tons of Jeeps here n San Diego County so I think these Broncos will sell like crazy. I bet the dealers will be jacking up the prices

Not going to sway me away from the Raptor but I think Ford did a good job. Nice to see how much focus they put into the Offroad capabilities. Seems like 4wd is standard, next edition has rear lockers, then front lockers after that. 35" optional tires. Pretty darn big for a stock vehicle.

Wouldn't hate to see these around town instead of the Jeeps

Im no fan of most of Fords offerings, but will reserve judgement on this Bronco for now. The originals from back in the day were bullet proof so Im hoping they got it right on this one too.

Did they use steel or aluminum on the body panels?

You can get 35" tires with F and R lockers on the base model, just have to add the "sasquatch" package.
New images show a factory lift option and 37" tires. 37" M/T from the dealer is pretty awesome.

Close, Jeep is coming out with a Gladiator sporting the Hellcat motor for ‘21. Sounds like an exhilarating and dangerous vehicle to say the least.

I remember going to Baja n the early 70’s and watching the Broncos...they had a red/blue paint scheme if I remember correctly.
I think Parnelli Jones was driving one. The name Strouoe rings a bell too, not sure if he was the builder or one of the drivers. By far my favorite vehicle when I was a little kid. Can’t wait to see these things back on the road. The old originals are so much money they are only affordable to the wealthy, plus they probably drive like shit

Has Jeep said this, or people on the internet. I will Believe it when it’s on a dealers lot. The Gladiator is not really in the same class with the Bronco and Wrangler. I think a V8 in the wrangler would be enough, does not need to be the Hellcat.

The concept Jeep Gladiator had a 392 in it, not a Hellcat engine. I'm surprised because they do like throwing the Hellcat in everything else. lol

I work for Ford, I own a Raptor, and if the Bronco drives as nice as they look I'll seriously consider trading my truck in. I absolutely love my Raptor but it is too big for most Michigan trails, it is great as a daily and I love it at the dunes but not so much for up north trails. The 2.3 ecoboost and 10 speed is a killer package in the Mustangs and the Rangers, it'll be great in this too.

I am a mopar guy but I think Ford did a good job on the new Mustangs and now the new Bronco. Not in the market for either but would give them a serious look if I was. Cool

I'm one of the diesel powertrain engineers, actually. Before covid hit I worked/sat down in Dearborn in a little building near the Rouge plant, but spend most of my time at APTL. Now I still go into the lab but most of engineering is working from home.

I've been up Sterling Axle a couple times though, took my six sigma training there a few years ago. Seemed like a nice plant!

Dentsides are 73-79 Ford pickups.

Ah gotcha. Yes I had a F250 back in 1980/81 - I loved that truck but it had a 390 that drank more oil than gas.
