If Roczen or Webb were on 250's...

How much chance would they have to win the shootout on Sunday and how difficult would it be for them to take the victory ? Could they take the lead with ease or would they struggle ?

Even though the lap times between the 250's and 450's are very close, the maturity and experience of Kenny and Webb would trump pure speed. I mean, just look at what those two and Eli do in the 450 class against other very experienced guys (Barcia, Mookie, etc...). I don't think it would even be close if they dropped down.

When Webb was on a 250 didn't he have lap times faster than the 450s sometimes? My memory is a little fuzzy on that, but I think he did.

Some of those 250 boys are really good (Ferrandis, Sexton. Forkner, McElrath etc). If they just dropped down randomly for one race, no I dont think they'd beat everyone. If they had a month or two to prepare? I'm sure they would win sometimes and not win other times exactly like they did when they were on 250s.

And hypothetically if we put Tomac on a Pro Circuit Kawi 250F for the outdoors he would smash them to bits. If you need reminding why, go back to the last 8 rounds of the 2013 outdoors. The only question would be if Mitch could make a bike that could handle the pounding Tomac would give it.

Generally you don't lose speed because you moved up to a 450
