Limiting sugar and alcohol can't help with joint pain. CBD oil can definitely help with joints as well. **don't eliminate alcohol, that would be really stupid...

**don't eliminate alcohol, that would be really stupid. Beer is a big part of my recovery program.
Sugar is one of the main causes of inflammation.

Not sure if you guys have heard or used WHOOP. It’s a fitness tracker that has 100% changed my sleep and recovery. They just added motocross to an activity. It’s a band you wear 24/7. I haven’t taken mine off in almost a year. Their model is subscription based for the data. Worth checking out. Here’s some screen shots from the app

Whoop is nice. Joe Rogan really pushes their product. Fitbit now pretty much offers everything the Whoop strap does. I have run a charge 3 for 2 years now. I also use an app called SportsTracker. 20mg CBD daily, 10k units of Vit D3 and an amazing amino acid called NAC.

I am old, fat, slow etc., etc., and just got back into riding. I have always been a cramper, calfs and groin. I started drinking Smart Water 9.5+ pH and I only got one small cramp that lasted a couple minutes. I had less muscle ache that should have been a lot worse for my condition. I was amazed because I would guzzle lots of plain water and diluted Gator Ade and still got cramps. Maybe not the recovery drink you are looking for but I don't see where it would hurt you to try it. It's available everywhere.

It has been great to keep me accountable for what I eat and how much I sleep. It’s very black and white on what effects my body. More than 2 Alcoholic drinks will raise my resting heart rate about 10-15BPM.

It’s changed what I eat and what time I eat before bed.

I’m a nerd with this stuff, so it’s fun. Not for everyone. But it’s like having someone to nudge you to make healthy decisions.

It’s very popular in CrossFit, golf and mountain biking.

Thanks for the info. I’ve been training 6-7 days a week for years. I’m also a nerd when it comes to fitness/nutrition and new technologies so I’m pretty excited to get started using Whoop. It will be interesting to compare with my current Polar set up.Ill probably just wear both at all times. I’ll let ya know what I think after a few weeks of use.

Ok Thanks guys. I will have to google these items. Since I never heard of them, except for whey protein.
You’ve never heard of steroids? Oh man, you’re in for a treat. It’s just a shot you take 2X a week and In 8-12 weeks you’re guaranteed to transform into a sex crazed, world class athlete. Good luck!

Duck eggs. Just ask Mike O'hearn. He is 100% natural, LOL.
I doubt anyone on here will get the reference but I appreciate it.

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people wear both. I use Apple Watch + Whoop at the same time.

Tums. I take two after heavy lifting. The calcium in it helps with muscle recovery. I don’t know the exact science behind it but. a friend recommended taking two and it does help. I was cramping badly in the middle of the night. As previously mentioned Bcaas. Another is creatine monohydrate. Read a little on it. It’s also very useful for recovery.

And joint - knee, shoulder, etc product. All into one if possible. I take glucosamine sulfate, msm, xtend muscle recovery power. And drink chocolate Milk, that used to work. GNC men’s collagen, supposed to help tendons, ligaments. Diclofenac sodium topical gel, rub that on my archlys tendon and ankle. That is throbbing, I can barely get to sleep.

Is this for recovery from an injury or recovery from a workout? Sounds like you have an injury.
Embarrassed to say, but it,s from trucking. This truck has a different steer axle. Meritor is the vender. It,s Like driving in 2 feet of clay, I aired up the tires to 110 max, helped a tiny bit. Slams the front end end worse than flat Landing off a triple. All last week I ran all night then back and forth. Days and nights. Which is the norm. Was bad for 3.5 weeks throwing up Lactic acid. Thinking about doing pipeline work again, I don,t know. I can not take CBd , because of drug test. I took notes on everyone’s suggestions, thx. I was going home in March, then covid19 closed everything. I miss the YMCA, great stretching, whirlpool, sauna, swimming.
